In case you have missed it, there are a group of Democrats trying to come for Nancy Smash, as she runs for Speaker again.

They are weak, pathetic, and full of nothing but ageism and misogyny.

Congresswoman Pelosi is a target because she’s effective. But, listening to these clowns, it’s like they memorized the entire GOP Playbook, and are blinded.

Here’s Nancy Smash from Sunday. I appreciate this segment, because too many brand Pelosi as a San Francisco liberal.

As an avalanche of support from elected Democrats, Obama officials, labor unions, and progressive groups threaten to bury opponents of Nancy Pelosi’s return to the Speakership on the supposed “Left,” the detractors are clinging on to a pathetic, desperate talking point: Nancy Pelosi is not really responsible for engineering the Democrats’ path to power, they say. Or at least, she cannot be credited for the ascendancy unless she is also blamed for the Democratic losses in 2010’s Republican wave that ended the then-Democratic majority in the House.

Now, the loss in 2010 was largely due to depressed Democratic turnout caused by withering bashing of the Obama administration and the Democratic majority … from the Left, but it is not entirely unfair to hold Nancy Pelosi at least partially responsible for the loss. Speaker Pelosi and President Obama did, in some fashion or other, know that pushing through the Affordable Care Act – which was already the subject of fever-pitch opposition caused by disinformation and racism – could cause a backlash and put Democrats out of power in Congress. But they pushed it through in 2010 anyway, and Democrats suffered a bloodbath.

That was the exact moment I knew that Nancy Pelosi had earned her claim to power.

Being in power is not simply – or even mostly – about what one is willing to do to ascend to power. In a just society, it is more fundamentally about the price at which one is willing to sacrifice immense power.

When Democrats had the full power of the elected branches of the federal government, they had a choice: they could usher in transformative change, rescue a hemorrhaging economy and risk losing power in the very next election. Or, they could put band-aids on the wounds, pursue a few measures that did not arouse Right wing fire in an attempt to protect their power.

There are very few issues where Nancy Pelosi is on the ‘ wrong’ side. Not only is she usually on the right side, she usually is ahead of the pack about being on the right side.

And, about the punks coming after Nancy Smash?

A high-profile critic of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi signaled on Monday that he is seeking to hold negotiations with her about changes to her leadership team, a development that makes her ascendancy to the speakership likelier as her opponents continue to struggle to recruit a challenger.

The decision by Rep. Seth Moulton (D-Mass.) to shift his attention from Pelosi — by far the front-runner for the speakership and currently running unopposed — to potential discussions over the lower-ranking positions of House majority leader and House majority whip underscored Pelosi’s strength and the desire of her critics to reshuffle the leadership even if she holds the gavel…

Pelosi, however, has given no indication that she is open to talks with Moulton about a deal for the support of moderate critics or that she would ever waver in her support for her longtime deputies, Reps. Steny H. Hoyer (Md.) and James E. Clyburn (S.C.), who are in line to hold the No. 2 and No. 3 posts in the House next year.

Still, associates of Moulton, 40, said he is hoping to sit down with Pelosi to discuss possible terms for the support of his group, in particular possibly rallying behind a younger member to be House majority leader or House majority whip, with an emphasis on bringing in a new generation to the leadership in the wake of the Democrats’ sweeping gains in the midterm elections…

“Leader Pelosi wants to boil this down to a personal argument, but this is so much bigger than her,” Moulton said in a statement to The Washington Post. “It’s about the entire, stagnant three-person leadership team and having a serious conversation about promoting leaders who reflect the future of our caucus.”

Negotiations with her? With what leverage?

No, dear,YOU made it personal. But, you’re gonna learn.

I can’t wait until January, when we can once again say …

    Decorating Mr. Kushner was viewed as an endorsement of Mr. Trump, who began his presidential campaign by insulting Mexican immigrants and calling for the United States to build a wall along the 2,000-mile border — a demand he has been repeating this week during budget negotiations in Washington.

    “Kushner is the son-in-law of someone who called Mexicans ‘murderers and rapists,’” Enrique Krauze, a historian, wrote on Twitter. “Giving him the Aztec Eagle is a supreme attitude of humiliation and cowardice.”

    Jesús Silva-Herzog, a well-known political analyst, was similarly acerbic in his reaction.

    “The Aztec Eagle to Kushner? Really? That is how the government of indignity bids farewell,” he said on Twitter. “A perfect crowning to its indecency.”

    In Washington, White House officials, frustrated by the criticism surrounding the award, tried to draw a line between the work Mr. Kushner had done to establish better trade relations and the disparaging words his father-in-law has used to describe the Mexican people.

    Under Mr. Trump, relations between Mexico and the United States have fallen to their lowest point in more than three decades. Only 6 percent of Mexicans have confidence in the American president, the weakest of any national population in a survey of 25 countries by the Pew Research Center…”

    Being from Chicago, I can’t state strong enough the earthquake that happened in Chicago when they raided Ed Burke today. There is no more powerful politician in Chicago than Burke. He has a security detail that rivals the Mayor. His wife is on the Illinois Supreme Court.
    I am still in shock.

        Something that has always existed but has been deliberately suppressed so that millions of Americans will never know how many contributions we’ve made to the U.S. and to the world. Until the movie ”Hidden Figures” came out, few Americans knew that the brains doing the calculations for early space missions were due to black excellence.
