White Christmas” is an Irving Berlin song reminiscing about an old-fashioned Christmas setting. According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the version sung by Bing Crosby is the best-selling single of all time, with estimated sales in excess of 50 million copies worldwide.[1][2][3][4]

Accounts vary as to when and where Berlin wrote the song.[4] One story is that he wrote it in 1940, in warm La Quinta, California, while staying at the La Quinta Hotel, a frequent Hollywood retreat also favored by writer-producer Frank Capra. He often stayed up all night writing — he told his secretary, “Grab your pen and take down this song. I just wrote the best song I’ve ever written — heck, I just wrote the best song that anybody’s ever written!”

@Acosta There is no comparison of Nixon’s will to survive versus Trumps. Trump will never resign, there is no circumstance he will even consider it. The law means nothing to him, and that is key to his will. Think Gotti, not Nixon.

AMI – the parent company of the National Enquirer – got immunity from prosecution for its role in a conspiracy to violate campaign finance laws with respect to the MacDougal story. They admit they coordinated with Trump’s campaign to influence the election. https://t.co/HAgLBSU4VN

    Bishop Talbert Swan @TalbertSwan
There is no court in America that would try a 16 year old white girl as an adult, convict her and sentence her to 51 years for killing her rapist. Not one. #CyntoiaBrown

A question still outstanding: Why did Mike Flynn lie?

Shane Harris, national security reporter for the Washington Post, talks with Rachel Maddow about questions that still linger about the Mike Flynn case (from the public perspective), including the role of his deputy, K.T. McFarland, and the question at the root of it all, why did Flynn lie?

  11. rikyrah says:

Flynn wasn’t the only one who lied about sanctions discussions

As Mike Flynn’s sentencing approaches, Rachel Maddow looks at the other members of the Trump administration who lied about discussing Russian sanctions, or who lied about knowing about the lies, and wonders about the biggest remaining unanswered question: Why did Flynn lie?

This is another example though where being bound by the law kind comes to a shock to a Republican, since they believe very firmly in IOKIYAR. See Mr. Barr criticizing the donations of Mueller attorneys to Democrats, but saying, heh, nothing to see here, when it comes to his own massive donations.

This Trump-Pelosi-Schumer argument demonstrates exactly why Republicans hate Nancy Pelosi with a passion.

She is utterly tenacious, unyielding, unflappable and CANNOT be bullied.

Her non-reactivity is also a narcissist’s worst nightmare. It strips them of all power.
