Friday Open Thread |These Are the Rotten People Who Make Up This Administration

We are in the midst of a government shutdown. The pain thrust upon government workers, coast to coast, is mounting everyday.

These people are being held HOSTAGE by the whims of a madman and his racist vanity project.

They DO NOT CARE about the pain being put on these workers.

It’s obvious.

Here’s your greatest hits in callousness from yesterday:

Some more pain for the workers:

I have to ask…..
WITH WHAT MONEY?? 😡😡😡

Senator Bennett of Colorado has HAD IT!!
He had time yesterday👏👏

And here’s the latest extortion demands:

Do👏not👏negotiate👏with👏terrorists👏

I know that you might feel frustrated and helpless , but, you can help your fellow Americans:

Found this at BJ:

We are in desperate need of donations for a program we just launched targeting the lowest income feds with micro grants for groceries, gas, diapers, etc. Donations can be made here.

Here is the description of the program.

I still think about people who said. “I prayed about the election and let God lead me. I voted for Trump.”

They’re trying to use God and prayer as a shield against the truth. They knowingly voted for a bigot and con man because they wanted to vote for a bigot.

My youngest brother works for Boeing in Washington State. I talked to him about an hour ago. He told me that one of his co-workers told him that he’s through with Trump and called Trump ignorant, said that Trump has messed up our government, and that it will take years to get it back on track. I imagine there are millions that voted for Trump who are now having “come to Jesus” moments. My brother and I agreed that some that voted for Trump really thought he was the actor they watched on “The Apprentice.” [BTW: I hate reality TV programs.] I blame them for their gullibility and for not doing the necessary research to find out he was an unethical, ignorant, immoral, authoritarian-minded, selfish prick before they voted for him. Whenever I’d read about someone connected to Trump’s campaign, I started research on them. I knew they weren’t ”the best” persons for the job when Trump repeatedly made the claim in 2016 and I knew about their ties to Russia, but those who voted for him didn’t know or didn’t care. If they’re disappointed with him or pissed at him now, it’s their own d@mn fault that they fell for the world’s biggest shyster and conman.

Also, as I said before, he LIKES whining. Narcissists get a big kick out of complaining that the world is unfair to them. He’s done. Further fits will be much shorter and the end pre-determined. Maybe more important, Nancy broke McConnell. He knows he can’t pull this shit either.

EDIT – What’s that quote? “Pelosi is as good as McConnell thinks he is”?

5/ A “high-ranking Trump campaign official” is described later in the indictment having contact with Stone through intermediaries about the WikiLeaks hacked emails. One of those emails was previously published by @nytimes and they identified the official as Steve Bannon.

    From Jamelle Bouie:

…But the paramount reason for resisting this deal, and any other, is what it would mean symbolically to erect the wall or any portion of it. Like Trump himself, it would represent a repudiation of the pluralism and inclusivity that characterizes America at its best. It would stand as a lasting reminder of the white racial hostility surging through this moment in American history, a monument to this particular drive to preserve the United States as a white man’s country.

In fact, you can almost think of the wall as a modern-day Confederate monument, akin to those erected during a similar but far more virulent period of racist aggression in the first decades of the 20th century. Built as shrines to white racial dominance as much as memorials for any particular soldier, they were part of a larger, national drive to uphold white supremacy against what one nativist thinker termed a “rising tide of color.”
