Monday Open Thread |Is Jeff Bezos Gonna Take Out The National Enquirer?

The situation with Jeff Bezos, and the National Enquirer has been off the chain.
When the limited episode series of this Administration is done on Netflix, this will be at least 2 episodes.

So, even though AMI (the Parent Company of the Enquirer), got off for what they did illegally during the 2016 election season…they couldn’t help themselves. Hey, they are AMI…they threaten people all the time..it’s just business as usual.

So, they sat up there, confessed to the crimes, and then signed an agreement with the Southern District of New York that they would keep their powder clean for 3 YEARS.
Folks, it hasn’t even been SIX MONTHS.

They destroy what’s left of Bezos’ marriage, and THEN think that they are going to blackmail/extort from him?
Um, ok, sure, whatever to that.

But, their actions, or rather Bezos’ REACTIONS to their attempted blackmail/extortion…well…that’s what has them freaking out. Because, Bezos has absolutely framed this in terms of blackmail and extortion, and you don’t have to like Bezos, to know that what they tried to do was Illegal, and thus cause for the SDNY to COMPLETELY VOID THEIR IMMUNITY AGREEMENT….

And, once the Immunity Agreement is voided…

THEN THEY CAN BE PROSECUTED FOR ALL CRIMES THAT THEY ADMITTED TO….

BWA HA HA HA H HA HA HA H AH HA
Now, we aren’t even up to the part where AMI is a company about 500 million dollars in debt….

And, even after Mrs. Bezos gets HALF OF EVERYTHING…
Jeff Bezos will have SIXTY-SIX BILLION DOLLARS…

500 million to him is the change in the coffee cans.

Couldn’t happen to a better bunch of thieves.

I hope Bezos rips them apart, financially, and then let the SDNY rip them apart legally.

      From the article:

The existence of cerebral blood flow reduction in Alzheimer’s patients has been known for decades, but the exact correlation to impaired cognitive function is less understood.

“What we’ve done is identify the cellular mechanism that causes reduced brain blood flow in Alzheimer’s disease models, which is neutrophils [white blood cells] sticking in capillaries,” Schaffer said. “We’ve shown that when we block the cellular mechanism [that causes the stalls], we get an improved blood flow, and associated with that improved blood flow is immediate restoration of cognitive performance of spatial- and working-memory tasks.”

“Now that we know the cellular mechanism,” he said, “it’s a much narrower path to identify the drug or the therapeutic approach to treat it.”

I lost my dad to Alzheimer’s Disease. I’m glad your nephew is working with other researchers to discover why some persons contract the disease. I’m also hoping and praying for a cure/treatment for those that are suffering with the disease or may contract it. It’s devastating watching someone you love change in such drastic ways. My mom and dad were married for 52 years when she passed in 1999 from heart disease. My dad passed two years later from AD. There’s not a day that passes in my life that I don’t think about them and miss them.

      • Liza says:

Alzheimer’s is one of the worst ways to die slowly. My mother had Alzheimer’s disease for about ten years and for about six of those years she was in a nursing home. I don’t know to what degree this influenced her grandson to study the disease, certainly he was more aware of it because of her. His PhD is in physics, he did a post doc at UCSD where I believe they were just working on lasers. Then he got his own lab at Cornell and started doing this research soon afterwards. I’ve always been glad he didn’t end up doing defense related work.

  3. Cory Booker can pound concrete. He may not know it yet, but you just fugged up. I’m not about to kiss the a*ss of my oppressors & comfort them. Racist people are responsible for their own damn racism. FIX YOURSELF!

RIKYRAH: This is why @CoryBooker is a non-starter for me 😠😠.

Susan Collins placed a bad bet on Brett Kavanaugh
    02/11/19 09:20 AM
    By Steve Benen
    …………………..

The Louisiana statute is a direct violation of the Supreme Court’s 2016 ruling in Whole Woman’s Health v. Hellerstedt, and until the court overturns that decision, the Louisiana law cannot take effect. To [Chief Justice John] Roberts, this precedent matters.

To Justice Brett Kavanaugh, it does not. Kavanaugh so disagreed with the majority that he wrote a dissent explaining why the Louisiana law should be allowed to move forward – an opinion that should not be taken as anything less than a declaration of war on Roe v. Wade.

    ………………….

Didn’t Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) put her reputation on the line, assuring the public that Kavanaugh wouldn’t do this?

Actually, yes, she did. The Maine Republican, who is one of the few remaining pro-choice GOP lawmakers remaining on Capitol Hill, announced before Kavanaugh was even chosen for the high court that she “would not support a nominee who demonstrated hostility to Roe v. Wade.”

Collins nevertheless helped confirm Kavanaugh, confident in her assertions that Donald Trump’s choice for the high court saw abortion rights as “settled as a precedent of the court” and “settled law.”

Maine’s senior senator will likely seek a fourth term next year. The likelihood of Democrats making Kavanaugh and his approach to reproductive rights an important campaign issue is roughly 100%.

I’m not a fan of Jeff Bezos, but I do love that AMI/Enquirer effed with the wrong marine. Ever since the National Enquirer broke the John Edward’s scandal they have thought they have some kind of legitimate claim to real journalism as opposed to being just another vulgar grocery store tabloid.

AND in addition to Mr. Philando Castille’s cold-blooded murder with his 4 year old daughter as a witness, there’s been an increase in police killings of innocent black men in MN, PERIOD Philando being brutally murder was more pronounced –see FACEBOOK.
