“..I had the chance to attend the @michelleobama conference in Paris. After reading her book, I naturally wanted to hear her, and see her tell her story. A strong woman, of great character, intelligent, charismatic, funny … She is full of benevolence that she expressed so easily before a full room (20k people). She defends values, principles, she fights for the cause of women in the world, but the men present in the room could also benefit from her advice that was so full of valuable life tips. Watching her on stage, I realized how lucky I was to be surrounded by strong women in my tight-knit family circle. The chance, to realize how important it is to be well-surrounded, and that all the advice and lessons from the women’s lives in my life have a very important meaning. These principles and values that we see ourselves inculcated from childhood. It was nice, to watch and listen to her, to take a look right then left, and to see all those many people in the room with stars in their eyes, from the youngest to the oldest, we were all attentive, spellbound. Her main message is “If I did it, you can do it too.” … Her fight goes beyond the color of skin, beyond the clichés, beyond the stigmatization, her fight in general is a fight for more humanity, for an equality of chances (equal opportunity, a level playing field), for a better world in which one believes in oneself, one has confidence and one goes there! Because self-confidence will be the only way to understand that there is room for everyone (no ego or insecurity) and that you are the first person who can make you reach your goals..”

Michelle Obama has such a unique persona. She is the real deal. She amazes me every time with her thoughtfulness, her warmth and wisdom. She is a leader I would follow in a jiffy. At the same time I praise her for never seeking that pedistal. Give us ten more like her and the world would be a different place!
