    Have all former felons had their voting rights restored in all 50 states?

      I haven’t decided on a candidate yet, I’m still checking things out. I think it’s to get ahead of folks trying to do a hit pieces on him to kill his campaign before it gets out of the starting gate. People make mistakes and learn. When you learn better, you do better.

      Sorry, but anyone who hitched her wagon to freaking Clarence Thomas …and wouldā€™ve stayed with him for the long haul too, had some stuff not happened … And one who isnā€™t exactly screaming at Clarence Thomas as he continues to sit on the nationā€™s highest court and as he and his wife continue to break every law possible for partisan self-enrichment, isnā€™t exactly someone I care to defend or listen to..

      Where are her op-eds condemning Thomas and his wifeā€™s shenanigans..?

    One of the problems with supporting these elderly candidates (as in >75) is that they are at that age where anything can happen (stroke, heart attack, etc…). While it may be true that anything can happen to anybody, the likelihood is greater with the elderly.

    Please can we stop kidding ourselves that it is okay for a candidate to be in their mid to late seventies? It’s too damn old.

    IMO, Elizabeth Warren is right on the line but appears to be healthy. Certainly has no mental impairment.

    Power couple George Lucas and Mellody Hobson are trying to take possession of Ebony magazineā€™s historic photo archives, which were used as collateral for a $12 million loan they made to now-bankrupt Johnson Publishing four years ago.

    Capital Holdings V, a company controlled by the filmmaker and his financier wife, filed a motion Wednesday in Chicago federal Bankruptcy Court seeking to foreclose on the archives, citing the risk to their loan repayment and the iconic photo collection itself.

    On Thursday, Lucas and Hobson issued a statement through their company expressing the need to preserve the Ebony archives.

    ā€œThe Johnson Publishing archives are an essential part of American history and have been critical in telling the extraordinary stories of African American culture for decades,ā€ the company said. ā€œWe want to be sure the archives are protected for generations to come.ā€

    The Ebony photo collection, which has been appraised at $40 million, may be the most valuable asset left in the once influential Chicago-based publishing empire, which sold its magazine holdings three years ago and filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection earlier this month.

    Johnson Publishing has been trying unsuccessfully to sell its photo archives for more than four years.

        Listen Sis, these are craaaazzzy, crrrraaaazzzzy times.. And nobody knows what this Russian asset and his handlers and other dubious enablers and complicit cohort of all sorts now embedded in our government, have been up to.. or what they still have planned..

        This is not the moment for vanity shows, or for learning as you go.. or time for folks who are barely able to effectively handle or manage a Federal agency, being the Commander in Chief of the worldā€™s greatest democracy.. military and economic power …if heaven help us, we still are by the end of this ongoing nightmare..

        For those talking ā€˜this is about the future and younger candidatesā€™, puhleez.. if thereā€™s no country left to be recovered at the end of this Russian take-over, thereā€™ll be no future to be had..

        This dire, dire situation calls for someone who is not only ready to be president on day 1.. but a person who understands the set-up to begin with, knows their way around blown-up structures, hidden imported land mines, vandalized structures and corrupted systems that have been deliberately vandalized by Russian assets to cover up treason and other criminality …And how to restore with necessary unbreachable upgrades that ensure that this Russian atrocity and assets installed in Americaā€™s house, never happens again.,

        Iā€™ll want to see this primary play out fairly and completely, but right now, Biden is the only candidate in the race, even marginally capable of leading and pulling in all the right minds to pick up the pieces and restore …after the traitors..

        Folks donā€™t understand just how dirty and corrupt D.C is.. there are folks even within our party who will continue to undermine even a Democratic President because this free-for-all, this corrupt to the nth status quo,is working out quite well for them.. they are getting away with murder.. literally..

        Biden whoā€™s been in D.C for decades, may not have been able to stop some of the shenanigans of the D.C old-hands who hated and were envious of the popularity and high-mindedness of the historic President …but he successfully ran interference on behalf of President Obama when it counted most …

        Imagine what these shady folks would do to and with any of these other johnny come latelies.. that is in the unlikely event any of them can even beat the Russian asset and his fully-invested and staffed Kremlin campaign satellite office..

        I donā€™t see my candidate in this convened 2020 field …but Biden and Stacey Abrams as VP (serious, strategic, clear-eyed, focused, no-drama, no vanity preening, not surrounded by mess/messy folk, the real future with a darn good mind, no need for tricks), would be the closest Dems can get …as far as the current roster stands..

    When Antoinette Love was born six weeks prematurely to Anthony and Yolanda Love, all her mother wanted was for Love to live. The New Orleans native only weighed 4.4 pounds, but she eventually left the hospital 23 days later.

    Years later, Love blew past another milestone: Acceptance into 115 colleges and universities nationwide.

    Love, a senior at the International High School of New Orleans, applied to and was unanimously accepted at 115 schools across the country, according to her school. Her efforts also resulted in more than $3.7 million in offered scholarships. Love is determined to become an educator and wants to major in elementary education beginning this fall, her mother said by phone Tuesday (April 23).

    Love, who is planning to be on the road the next few weeks visiting several colleges, said sheā€™s excited to see what the schools have to offer. She advises students to seek out as many fee waivers as possible for every college they apply to. Students should only consider paying for applications at the colleges they ā€œreally want toā€ attend, she added.

    Love said sheā€™s planning to make her college choice by May 1.

    Yolanda Love calls her daughterā€™s accomplishments amazing, but she pointed out Love had a lot of support around her. Her counselor Denise James helped her identify college application fee waivers. Love also used the College Common App to apply to multiple colleges through one application, and the Common Black College Application to apply at 50 historically black universities, Yolanda Love said.

    Love by phone Tuesday night said she started applying in September and continued to apply until their small mailbox overflowed with letters from colleges. Yolanda Love said the first school that accepted her daughter offered $72,000 in scholarships.

    ā€œA trickle effectā€ soon occurred, and Yolanda Love said the mailman had to leave letters on the porch and wedge others in between the screen door and the door due to the overflow.

And how thereā€™s now a serious re-evaluation of (and distancing from) the Obama presidency currently going on by all the very same bloody mediocre Dems in the running for 2020 – same folks who canā€™t even get folks to tune in or half get excited. …and how the Dem 2020 candidates are moving away from Obama … and how the Dem 2020 field are all so much more aggressive and progressive …and ditching the Obama way of ā€˜weakā€™ governance etc. and weak policies..

    Between him and Eddie Glaude, the envy is heavy for 2 basic non-entities..

    Iā€™ll be curious to see how any Dem candidate …and these yahoos who support them and who now all figure themselves ā€˜kingmakersā€™, think theyā€™ll make any dent without the Obamas support..

    Some in our party are not loyal.. And they are in for a serious wake-up call..

    Do you now see the how and why Biden – say what you may – is the exception to that almighty loyalty rule..

    And why if Biden gets the nomination heā€™ll be picking Stacey ..because she at least has integrity … and even though ambitious, wonā€™t be undermining or attempting to sabotage Biden to hasten her own presidency …

    In much the same way we understood why then Nominee Obama picked Biden and not Hillary … even after all the attempts at strong-arming him into picking Hillary … and even though he ultimately still gave Hillary the SoS job … and even though she still spent her time at Foggy Bottom undermining and sabotaging the historic presidency..
