Beautiful blue water has rolled ashore onto Galveston Island, just in time for perfect beach weather. It’s such a rare sight Galveston Island tweeted about the azure allure.
“April 26, 2019. EASILY the most beautiful Friday of the year!” crowed the island’s official Twitter account.
The last time the usually murky green ocean water was this clear was in early June, 2018.
If you want to enjoy the crystal clear water yourself, this is the perfect weekend for it. The weather forecast calls for sunny skies, temperatures in the 80s, and winds from 5 to 15 mph.
So head for the beach, stick your toes in the water, and enjoy the fact that you can actually see them.

Wow. I’ve never seen Galveston like that. We used to go there when I lived in Houston for awhile, decades ago.
It’s so beautiful. I thought I was going to burn up on the beach but it was nice. I asked my son in law’s grandpa, Thomas are you going for a Ferry ride and he said nooo I’m not getting on the Ferry? But later when we were on the Ferry, I said, Thomas I thought you weren’t getting on the Ferry? π€¨He just smiled.

@rikyrah we had the best time in Galveston last year. We had the tents set up, coolers filled with drinks, music playing as the waves kept rolling in. You couldn’t tell Jay nothing! LOL!
