Open Thread | Don’t Whine Now About The Courts …You Were Warned

Like others, I am disgusted and have no patience for those running around with their hair on fire because they have finally looked up and see that Dolt45 has been able to appoint 1 out of 4 federal judges. He has been able to do this – appoint unqualified right-wing extremist White men approved and stamped by the Federalist Society, because of the obstruction of Moscow Mitch during the Obama Administratio, who blocked President Obama being able to appoint judges FOR YEARS…

When I, and others TOLD YOU IN 2016, that, if you needed just one reason to vote for Hillary, even if she wasn’t your cup of tea, we said…

THE COURTS

What were we so snidely told?

“You can’t scare me by using the Courts.”

THAT is what you Purity Ponies on the left told us.

So, now, after all we said would come true HAS come true?

Naw, Son,
Don’t want to hear your hysteria.
About the Courts in general, or about RBG..
Not one word.

I am not the only one who remembers😒😒😒

  1. My banana pudding, pasta salad, fruit salad and potato salad is made. Cornbread about to go in the oven. My bro has one turkey in the roaster. I’ll bake the other turkey tomorrow.

    Turkey smells wonderful

For my Thanksgiving dinner this year (there’s just the two of us) I am paying homage to processed food. It’s a first for me, so we’ll see how it goes.

Jennie-O’s Cajun style turkey breast – 3 lbs (very tiny)
      Trader Joe’s turkey gravy
      Trader Joe’s cranberry sauce
Green beans (from frozen in package)
Sweet potatoes (I will actually make these)
Box stuffing (add celery and onions)
Pumpkin pie (from canned pumpkin and Pillsbury crusts)

What do you think? I’m anticipating it will turn out fairly well.

A wealthy Venezuelan hosted Giuliani as he pursued Ukraine campaign. Then Giuliani lobbied the Justice Department on his behalf.

When Rudolph W. Giuliani went to Madrid in August to confer with a top aide to the Ukrainian president and press for political investigations sought by President Trump, he also met with a previously unidentified client with very different interests.

While in Spain, Giuliani stayed at a historic estate belonging to Venezuelan energy executive Alejandro Betancourt López, who had hired Trump’s personal attorney to help him contend with an investigation by the Justice Department into alleged money laundering and bribery, according to people familiar with the situation.

A month later, Giuliani was one of several lawyers representing Betancourt in Washington. The lawyers met with the chief of the Justice Department’s criminal division and other government attorneys to argue that the wealthy Venezuelan should not face criminal charges as part of a $1.2 billion money-laundering case filed in Florida last year, said the people, who, like others in this report, spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the ongoing investigation.

  5. When I listened to Buttigieg saying young low income minorities had no one to talk to them about the value of an education, it enrages me. I grew up on a farm. Neither of my parents went to college. One of my older brothers went blind when he was 6 yrs old. My parents sent him to the Deaf and Blind school & from there they sent him to Kerrville Tx School for the Blind to learn a trade so he could take of himself. My parents told me my brother cried, he didn’t want to leave them. They cried too. Can you imagine the fear they felt sending their little blind child to live someplace else without them? But they wanted him educated so he didn’t have to depend on anyone to take care of him. My brother owned his own business. How dare Buttigieg’s racist ass! He don’t have a clue the struggle many Black families went through to get their children educated. He IS a lying motherfucker!

Rikyrah, similar situation with Clint Lorance, one of the other war criminals that Trump turned loose. Steven Soderbergh produced a series called “Leavenworth” currently on STARZ that documents Lorance’s case. His entire platoon testified against him. Furthermore, they were interrogated separately and almost immediately after the incident where the unarmed Afghan men were killed and they all told basically the same story. Those guys have been really messed up by witnessing what Lorance did, I feel for them now that Trump has undone what little justice there was in this case.

My impression of Lorance after watching “Leavenworth” is that he didn’t know sh!t about leading a platoon and he went in there swinging his d!ck before he knew anything about the men in the platoon or what was happening locally, the relationships that had been built, and so forth.

      He deserved his conviction.

This other guy, the Navy Seal, sounds like he’s a sociopath, pure and simple.

They cant. The media will accuse them of going to far and of being unhinged. The media has neutralized any fierce opposition. They say if Republicans constantly lie, you cant call them liars. They say you cant call Republicans racists.

I read a few years ago that tobacco industry knew smoking caused cancer back in the 1930s. The industry used its money to influence politicians, including those in Congress. I will never forget seeing the pic of Boehner handing out checks from tobacco companies on the House floor. Now he’s a lobbyist for the marijuana industry. Some people will do anything for money.

Trying to find the ridiculous segment that just happened a little while ago with Brooke whatshername and this Politico access stenographer, Nancy Cook.. As soon as I find it, I’ll post it..

This is why and how this destructive Orwellian farce and its protagonist are effusively normalized and elevated, and every violation, broken norm glossed over and positively touted as part of some efficiency, competence, hard work, ‘genius’ …and justified for good measure, with a reach for some random ‘equivalent’ with a former legitimate president..

    BLACK THANKSGIVING
The 2019 Rules and Revisions For Black Thanksgiving

    Michael Harriot
    Today 9:00AM

    ……….

    Food certifications
In 1962, BLACC’s executive macaroni committee decided to limit all macaroni and cheese making to grandmothers, aunts and anyone over 50 with a sufficient supply of the upper-arm fat known as “church lady muscles.” In 1984, we extended those qualifications to dressing and sweet potato pies.

However, this year, we have decided to loosen those restrictions. Henceforth, any family member whose macaroni has been approved at two or more family functions is eligible for mac & cheese certification. It should go without saying that all licensed macaronians must still pass a kitchen inspection because we still can’t fuck with you if your kitchen is nasty.
    ………………..

    Menu requirements
While Thanksgiving meals vary depending on geography and tradition, all BLACC-approved Thanksgiving menus must have the following:

Turkey: This goes without saying. It can be fried, baked or even smoked but if there is no turkey, you’re just having a family meal. A big hunk of turkey breast does not count, but turkey wings or legs do.
Dressing: Not that stovetop bullshit either. That’s “stuffing.”
Macaroni & Cheese: Aside from the above rules, there must also be someone present to regulate the size of macaroni scoops so you won’t run out of the “good” macaroni. Mac & cheese should be served in descending order from best to worst because anyone who is late doesn’t deserve top-level, auntie macaroni.
Giblet gravy: Anyone who serves packaged gravy at Black Thanksgiving is eligible for excommunication and must immediately surrender their black card.
Greens: Turnips, collards, cabbage, mustard—it doesn’t matter as long as they are sufficiently cleaned.
Pies: Cakes are cool for church picnics and birthday parties, but there must be at least one pie present at Blacksgiving. After an emergency hearing, our sweets committee has determined that peach cobbler qualifies as a pie.

University to Students on Medicaid: Buy Private Coverage, or Drop Out

Emily and Kullen Langston were enrolling in classes for the winter semester at Brigham Young University-Idaho when they hit an unexpected roadblock.

The school, like many others, requires all students to have health coverage. But this month, the university made an unusual announcement: It would no longer accept Medicaid.

Ms. Langston, 20, enrolled in the free government insurance program last year after becoming pregnant with the couple’s daughter, who is now 4 months old. Mr. Langston, 22, was planning to sign up for Medicaid in January, when it is set to expand in the state.

To remain in school, they would have to buy private coverage. The cheapest option available is the university’s student health plan, which does not comply with the Affordable Care Act’s consumer protections and would require the Langstons to pay a $3,125 annual premium.

Ms. Langston said her family, which relies on the income her husband earns as a call-center operator, cannot afford that. She had hoped to become a teacher, but now intends to drop out of school, and her husband is unsure whether he will attend.

“I’m disappointed that they’re showing prejudice against those of us who are poor right now,” Ms. Langston said. “I’m disappointed that I’m not going to be able to finish school.”

It also needs to stop requiring that parents make their children meet with old @ss men who question them about their personal lives in a one-on-one setting. No way would any of them be allowed to question my underage child about anything. I’ve read they ask whether the kids are sexually active and whether they indulge in personal sexual gratification/masturbation.

With the buffoon, it’s a table d’hôte kinda situation ..You sign on, it means you’ve agreed to go whole hog with him.. and you eat whatever crap menu he sets.. poison, p*op, p*ss..
