All I Want for Christmas Is You is a song by American singer-songwriter Mariah Carey from her fourth studio album, Merry Christmas. It was released as the lead single from the album on November 1, 1994 by Columbia Records. The song was written by Carey and Walter Afanasieff, the latter co-arranging and producing the song as well. As an up-tempo love song, it also incorporates pop music and traditional beats. The song’s lyrics describe an event in which the protagonist declares that she does not care about Christmas presents or lights; all she wants for Christmas is to be with her lover.

Former Notre Dame running back and NFL player George Atkinson III has died at 27 nearly one year after his twin brother and ex-teammate Josh hanged himself
Atkinson’s passing has been confirmed, but no cause of death has been given
George Atkinson III is survived by his two-year-old daughter
Atkinson III published an open letter following his brother’s suicide, admitting that he had been institutionalized after attempting to harm himself

Company Trump Touted Won $400 Million Contract
    December 2, 2019 at 9:21 pm

A company that President Trump urged military officials to hire for border wall construction has been awarded a $400 million contract to build a span of new barrier across an Arizona wildlife refuge, the Washington Post reports.

Trump has repeatedly pushed for Fisher to get a wall-building contract, urging officials with the Army Corps of Engineers to pick the firm — only to be told Fisher’s bids did not meet standards. Trump’s entreaties on behalf of the company have concerned some officials who are unaccustomed to the president getting personally involved in the intricacies of government contracting.
