Open Thread | The Plot to Kill the Post Office Is About Stealing the 2020 Election

I want people to be clear about this. What happened in Wisconsin this past week was a trial run for what the GOP wants to do in November. They know, as I do, the more people that vote, the worse it is for the GOP.

Vote by mail helps folks avoid their Voter Suppression tactics.

They forced people to choose risking their health DURING A PANDEMIC, if they wanted to exercise their right to vote.

They have shown you who they are.
The Democrats must stand for the Post Office. And for vote by mail.
Period.
Nothing less than the November 2020 Election is at stake.

Yeah, this really ticked me off. I try not to give Amazon any more business than I have to and even then I try to buy from Amazon sellers which is somewhat better even though Amazon gets a cut.

    Maddow explained this last night.
She won’t do a stay at home order.
She has a serious enough breakout that the plant that produces 5-10% of all pork products FOR THE COUNTRY IS CLOSED BECAUSE OF COVID-19.
The Mayor of the town is begging for a stay at home order.

THIS is what the muthaphuckin’ Governor is doing 😠😠😠

I love how she’s standing in front of her house shaped bookcase filled with lots of books. Love her shirt too. This is a lady who understands the importance of reading AND fashion.

Indeed. Democrats tend to be looking for the great ones, the saviors, failing to realize how few and far between those people really are. So they pretend, forever trying to turn the sow’s ear into a silk purse, at least during the election season.

Republicans just want a face to attach to their agenda which is something they never seem to disagree about very much. Probably because it is based on white male supremacy.

Either way, I’m tired. Really tired.

Maybe it’s time to focus on local politics.

Well, I’m very disappointed in how this turned out. The beginning of the campaign season seemed so promising with so many younger candidates.

I said from the beginning that Joe and Bernie were too old. Joe is 77, will be 78 when he is inaugurated assuming he wins in November.

Y’all are about to see the effects of aging. Here’s a clue. Four years in your fifties is very different from four years in your sixties and that is very different from four years in your seventies. By the time you’re in your eighties you are aging in dog years. Some people blessed with exceptional DNA can do quite well, but JB does not appear to be one of those people judging from some of his video clips and previous health issues. You’ve probably noticed that exceptional DNA is rare, at least in this country.

Quite frankly, I wish Bernie Sanders were 20 years younger. I support his policy ideas and always have. But astonishingly, Bernie is ahead of his time although in western Europe he would be considered a centrist.

I hope that someone younger takes up the mantle, perhaps Julian Castro.

There were only three times in my life that I voted for the person who won the presidency, Jimmy Carter and Barack Obama (2X).

      I’m used to losing.

Good Morning Beautiful Chics! I hope you enjoyed peaceful, joyous Easters yesterday.

The tweet that reminded us of 2006 requirement that post office retirement be funded in advance reveals another nefarious Rethuglican scheme – they’ve been wanting to get their slimy tentacles on that pension fund for years. So pension + voter suppression = Rethuglican Win Win.
