Was watching my DVR of AMJOY , and she had on Diane Nash. Joy asked her if she had any advice to the activists from today:

” Don’t let provacateurs sideline your movement. They have been sent by enemies to destroy your movement. There’s not a moment where violence is going to win you any friends – it’s done to damage the moral authority of your movement. And, you literally can’t win violence against law enforcement. “

I was hoping that Rep. John Lewis would live past the November election, so he would witness the end of Trump. But this was his time.

We owe this man so much, it is difficult to put into words. He was a rare combination of extraordinary courage but also immense compassion and kindness.

Right now his passing just feels like a huge void, a tremendous loss.

RIP, Rep. Lewis. Your exemplary life has always given us hope, and it always will.
