People are mad at President Joe about Covid not being gone and I am simply annoyed.
When there were stay at home orders and mask mandates people (and not just the MAGAs either) cried and howled. They wanted to go to restaurants, movies and concerts. They whined about their social lives being ruined.
When kids were kept home from school parents howled and screamed because having Mopsy and Flopsy at home was driving them nuts.
They wanted their freedom back. And a willing media played along.
They wanted things reopened and they were accommodated. They stopped wearing masks.
They poo poo vaccines and even a lot of vaccinated people coddle the willfully unvaccinated.
So I’m sorry but I don’t care that these people are panicking now over Omicron and a Covid resurgence. And care even less that they’re crying for 46 to DOOOOOO SOMETHING.
You asked for this. A virus shouldn’t stop you from living your life. Remember that?

Walmart
Meijer

And, I didn’t even look up the community places where I could get it.
I remember where we were in December 2020. We had hope that we could possibly live long enough to get the vaccine. The thought that you could go anywhere with a pharmacy and get one – I couldn’t wrap my mind around that.
I have my anger placed where it should be – the selfish muthaphuckas who won’t get vaxxed and the political party full of sociopaths who have done everything they could to prolong this pandemic.

1. There would be no articles about ‘understanding’ their POV
2. There would be no attempts to ‘ both sides’ by the media.

4. The criminalization of non-vaccination would already be on the books.

And a whole lot of people did read those tea leaves.. and many figured that even if he didn’t win..(many politicians, including those who ‘supported’ him, actually hoped he wouldn’t win, just so they’d get their shot next)..
Their association with him – the powerful organic movement plus A-list political rockstar status he’d come to embody – was still invaluable ..as they too nursed and plotted their own ‘presidential’ aspirations… including those who as he was beginning to be favored to win, were starting to fantasize about, and were even conducting mock interviews envisioning themselves as ‘president’..
Many were also looking to be noted as ‘early’ supporters …in the hope that they would clinch some high-powered cabinet position that would elevate them.. most actually overtly or covertly, made it a condition of their endorsement and support.. others insinuated it, and made plenty overtures..
And after he won and those cabinet gigs were given to more seasoned players, some folks kept angling for a spot …eventually getting so miffed they at first wouldn’t help out in his 2012 re-election..
He was already a much nationally buzzed about, gifted and for all intents and purposes, remarkable politician …he was already a standout.. and head and shoulders above what were supposedly his political ‘peers’.. his 2004 DNC speech making such waves and propelling him to political rockstar status..
The only young politicians ‘of color’ who didn’t try to get in with/hitch their wagons to Candidate Obama’s were the likes of Harold Ford etc. who also fancied themselves ‘presidential’ material .. nursed their own political fantasies, hitched their wagons to the Clintons’ instead and figured that a Hillary win would largely favor their political ambition..
Artur was also the only member of the congressional black caucus to vote against the ACA – his good pal, the historic president’s hard-won signature legislation..
Artur also endorsed Willard Romney over pal President Obama, in 2012..
Endorsements and ‘support’ by careerist politicians, are political maneuvers not ‘friendship’ or ‘allyship’..
