Mohammad Ziad Al-A’raj, who was killed on July 24, 2014 on his 17th birthday. Mohammad was shot dead by Israeli forces as he marched with thousands of Palestinians from Al Am’ari, a refugee camp in Ramallah, to the Qalandiya checkpoint that bars free Palestinian passage to illegally annexed Jerusalem. He was a resident of Qalandiya refugee camp. News sources did not specify his hometown in Palestine.

According to Al-Jazeera: Local residents described the boy was a well-mannered teenager, who had been hoping to study hotel and restaurant management. “He even trained at a local restaurant after school hours,” said Mahmoud Awad, one of A’raj’s colleagues. “He had a bright future, and now he’s gone.”
