The USS Kidd, an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer joins USS Pinckney in looking for the missing aircraft. Kidd brings the same capabilities as Pinckney with its two MH-60R Seahawk helicopters with surveillance, communications relay, naval gunfire support and logistics support. Full story here.

A U.S. Navy MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter lands aboard the USS Pinckney during a crew swap before returning on task in the search and rescue for the missing Malaysian airlines flight MH370 on March 9, 2013 at sea in the Gulf of Thailand.
