In 2007, It was a Clinton campaign strategy to paint Barack Obama as un-American

Mark Penn to Hillary Clinton campaign in 07: Lets “OWN” American in our programs, speeches etc. Barack Obama doesn’t. Barack Obama’s LACK of American roots.

Clinton surrogate Stephanie Tubbs Jones 08: I have no shame or no problem with people looking at Barack Obama in his native clothing, clothing of his country.

CNN & MSNBC talking heads, *looking@O’DONNEL-LEMON* are reserving their seats in the WH for the Clinton administration

    WE SEE YA’ll

  2. Ametia says:

THIS ALSO TOO That PBO asked this WITCH to be SoS….

  3. eliihass says:

“If Barack Obama’s campaign wants to suggest that a photo of him wearing traditional Somali clothing is divisive, they should be ashamed. Hillary Clinton has worn the traditional clothing of countries she has visited and had those photos published widely.”

No denial that they did in fact circulate it.

  4. AP trying to help out Hillary saying they fact checked to see if she started the birther meme and it proves not true. Lying liars. They need to fact check their fact checkers b/c it doesn’t pass the smell test. You cannot dismiss Mark Penn’s campaign strategy to smear PBO as un-American.
We’re not speaking just about the Steve Kroft interview. We’re talking about emails Mark Penn sent to Hillary to use PBO’s “lack of American roots” as a campaign strategy.

  5. Liza says:

Wow. Mark Penn is a dirt bag IMHO which is why the Clintons use him.

Mark Penn is the worst of the worst Liza..

He remains an integral part of Bill Clinton’s inner circle, spending time with and helping Bill craft his speech at the 2012 Democratic National Convention –

But more importantly, spinning the speech as what ‘saved and helped re-elect’ the President – and the core of their ‘we saved your presidency, now you owe us Obama’ scheme –

Never mind that up until that moment, and even after that, Bill Clinton & co. continued to undermine the President..

    NO, you didn’t bring receipts!!

This is why you’re our twitter warrior, SG2.

They think that folks forget stuff like this…No, I don’t think so.

  7. Don Lemon will fact check Hillary’s response to the birtherism tonight. I sent him some links. Lets see if he uses them to fact check Hillary’s ass or will it be tabloid trash as usual. Facts are boring for @CNN. It doesn’t generate ratings and clicks. They like high drama. Tabloid tv.

  8. Hillary Clinton’s lead over Biden and Sanders slips among Democrats, poll says

A new poll suggests that the dominance of Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton among left-leaning voters is waning, as a challenger who has not even declared his candidacy gains ground: vice-president Joe Biden.

A quarter of respondents to a Bloomberg poll conducted last week said their top pick for president was Biden, while Clinton was backed by 33% and Vermont senator Bernie Sanders by 24%.

“He’s been a very good, positive influence on the Obama administration,” Karen Hood, a 63-year-old consulting engineer from Houston, Texas, told Bloomberg about why she chose Biden as her top pick for president. “I think he would help carry on what President Obama has started.”

Three more Democratic candidates, including former Virginia Senator Jim Webb, former Maryland governor Martin O’Malley and former Rhode Island Senator Lincoln Chafee, were the top pick of less than 3% of people polled.

Earlier in the summer, pollsters believed that Clinton would not only sweep her Democratic challengers but the entire election. In late June, she was polling 8% above her closest competitor, who at the time was Republican former Florida governor Jeb Bush.

Since then, Sanders has also gained in polls in the key early primary states. September polls found Sanders led Clinton by nine points in New Hampshire, and was one ahead in Iowa.

Not only did Biden appear to be gaining on Clinton, but he also enjoyed a 10% higher favorability rating compared to Clinton. Biden’s favorability rating was 80%, versus Clinton’s 70%. Sanders had a 56% favorability rating. President Obama’s is 50%.

  9. Ametia says:

You should have followed Nancy Reagan’s motto: “JUST SAY NO.”

See Hillary, “As far as I know”…. LEAVES it OPEN for DOUBT. Wasn’t that your intention?

  10. Obama camp claims smear over turban photograph

Barack Obama’s campaign team accused Hillary Clinton’s beleaguered staff yesterday of mounting a dirty tricks operation by circulating a picture of him in African dress, feeding into false claims on US websites that he is a Muslim.

David Plouffe, Obama’s campaign manager, described it as “the most shameful, offensive fear-mongering we’ve seen from either party in this election”. Obama has spent much of the campaign emphasising he is a Christian not a Muslim and did not study at a madrasa.

Aides for Clinton, who is fighting a last-ditch battle to keep her hopes of the White House alive, initially tried to brush off the furore, but later denied having anything to do with the distribution of the picture.

“I just want to make it very clear that we were not aware of it, the campaign didn’t sanction it and don’t know anything about it,” Clinton spokesman Howard Wolfson told reporters. “None of us have seen the email in question.”

Obama and Clinton next go to the polls in the Texas and Ohio primaries next week. If Clinton loses either, her bid for the Democratic nomination could be over.

The picture showing Obama in a turban during a visit to Kenya in 2006 first appeared on the Drudge Report website yesterday. The site said it was circulated by Clinton’s staffers and quoted one saying: “Wouldn’t we be seeing this on the cover of every magazine if it were [Clinton]?”

The picture was taken when Obama went on a visit to Africa as a senator. Obama, whose father was Kenyan, visited Wajir in Kenya’s north-east, close to the Somali and Ethiopian borders, and was dressed by locals as a Somali elder
