Devin Patrick Kelley has been identified as the gunman who killed at least 24 people at a church in Texas, a U.S. official tells The Daily Beast. A week before he committed the worst massacre at a place of worship in American history, Kelley posted a photo of an assault rifle to Facebook with the caption: “She’s a bad bitch.”
Kelley, 26, was a resident of New Braunfels, a suburb of San Antonio, according to public records. Kelley was married and his mother-in-law listed a P.O. box in Sutherland Springs as a mailing address. San Antonio police reportedly raided Kelley’s home on Sunday evening. A LinkedIn account appearing to belong to Kelley describes him as serving in the U.S. Air Force from his 2009 high-school graduation until 2013, after which he briefly taught at a summer Bible school.
Hollywoodlife: At roughly 11:30 a.m., Kelley entered the church wearing full gear and opened fire on those in attendance, killing 27 and injuring 24. Among the dead was the pastor’s 14-year-old daughter Annabelle Renee Pomeroy. She “was one very beautiful, special child,” her father Frank Pomeroy told ABC News. Victims were taken to a nearby hospital following the attack. “Our prayers are with all who were harmed by this evil act,” Texas Governor Greg Abbott tweeted after news of the incident broke. “Our thanks to law enforcement for their response.
The sick sob bought animals so he could target practice. And people knew about about it and yet remained silent until #TexasChurchMassacre. If this isn’t some white privilege ISH?!

Air Force failed three times to stop Texas church shooter from purchasing guns: report
The Air Force missed three opportunities to prevent Texas church shooter Devin Kelley from purchasing firearms in recent years, according to a report from Reuters.
The military branch missed two opportunities to stop Kelley from buying guns after he was accused of violence in 2012, according to officials and military documents obtained by the publication.
Kelley had been court-martialed in 2012 for assaulting his wife and stepson, including cracking the infant’s skull. Authorities also missed a third chance to put an alert on Kelly when a Pentagon probe of cases did not include him.
The report comes after the Air Force revealed on Monday it had failed to enter Kelly’s domestic violence conviction in a federal database used for background checks on gun sales.

Please donate for this family’s funerals. A Mom and her 2 children. Remember Rylan the 5 year old who was shot 4 times? He’s in the hospital going through surgery. This is his Mom. If you can’t donate pass the link along so others may have a chance to give. It’s soul crushing.

The guy who shot the terrorist is a very brave person, also a very good shot. When he saw the gunman, he had the presence of mind to figure out that he had to shoot him in the side between the front and back of the protective gear he had on. And that is where he shot him, causing the gunman to drop his weapon. And he had no formal training, from what I heard on the news.
There are very few people who could do that.

Oh my sweet Jesus. Devin Kelley fractured the skull of his infant son. A little infant, y’all. That s.o.b. #TexasChurchMassacre
Yeah, his stepson. He got divorced from the mother, married again and was living in Colorado Springs where the neighbors remember that he tortured his dog, a pit bull puppy.
He was charged with animal cruelty but the case was dismissed.
He was a walking time bomb.
A walking time bomb.
I saw on one of the cable news stations that 10 of the wounded are in critical condition.
This is what I expected. It isn’t a large space and he probably thought he could hit all of them and he damn near did.
I also heard that there is a video. The church videos their services.
OMG!
EVIL
To people saying “Even churches aren’t safe anymore,” Dylan Roof killed 9 people at a church in 2015. They haven’t been safe for a while.

So she woke up Sunday morning, probably all excited because she was only five years old and everything is good when you’re only five. Before noon she was savagely murdered.

A 5 year old, a baby, shot 4 times. This is traumatizing, got dammit! #GunControlNow
I hope Devin Kelley is burning in hell. All of those innocent people shot dead. One family nearly wiped out with one child clinging to life. Pains my soul. Congress inaction on gun laws is traumatizing a nation. We need action NOW!
I don’t want to hear that the Sutherland Springs gunman “acted alone.” The radicalized #NRA has inspired more domestic terrorists than ISIS. pic.twitter.com/lhrR0hLVZz

So, the Terrorist in Texas had ‘ mental issues’.
Remember…Dolt45 signed legislation making it easier for the mentally ill to get weapons of death.

What I heard on CNN this AM is that his court martial was for assaulting his wife and his child. He was held for a year then given a bad conduct discharge which is not the same as dishonorable. With a bad conduct discharge he could legally purchase a gun. All of this according to CNN.
Later I heard, might have been on MSNBC, that if you get a bad conduct discharge for assault it might affect your ability to purchase a gun. And then they weren’t 100 percent sure what kind of discharge this guy had.
Of course, he did have a multiple guns, legal or illegal. Bullets don’t care one way or the other.

He killed ALL those people. How could he do it? So damn evil.
Hundreds shot and injured every day. And we do nothing. When 5 or more are killed at once by one person, it makes the news and elected officials give sympathies and offer prayers. One or two at a time killed is not national news – even if it adds up to thousands a year killed and even more injured. Will we ever confront our collective complicity?
So true, Nedhamsome. When will Congress act? This is traumatizing.
