  5. Michael Steele Defends Gingrich’s Comments That Obama May Have A ‘Kenyan Anti-Colonial Worldview’ (VIDEO)

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/09/15/michael-steele-defends-gingrich-kenyan_n_718774.html

In an interview with CNN’s John King today, Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele defended former House Speaker Newt Gingrich’s recent comments that President Obama may hold a “Kenyan, anti-colonial” worldview.

Speaking to the National Review recently, Gingrich wondered, “What if [Obama] is so outside our comprehension, that only if you understand Kenyan, anti-colonial behavior, can you begin to piece together [his actions]? That is the most accurate, predictive model for his behavior.”

When King mentioned the comments to Steele on Wednesday, the RNC chair rejected the idea that Gingrich was “race-baiting or playing to the birther crowd” and said that because Obama’s dad is from Africa, he is “of Kenyan, African descent”:

KING: Former Speaker of the House, the man who is moving around as if he might run for president, said that the President of the United States has a “Kenyan, anti-colonial” view of the world.

Exclusive: President Obama to This Week Name Elizabeth Warren to Special Advisory Role to White House/Treasury Dept to Form New Consumer Agency
    September 15, 2010 5:22 PM
President Obama will announce this week that Elizabeth Warren, the Harvard Law School professor who first proposed the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, will be named to a special position reporting to both him and to the Treasury Department and tasked with heading the effort to get the new federal agency standing, a knowledgeable Democrat told ABC News.

Warren currently chairs the Congressional Oversight Panel of the Troubled Assets Relief Program and has been seen by many on the Left as a force for greater accountability and transparency, and a check against the forces in the Obama administration more closely allied with the financial sector. Many officials in that sector eye her warily as too anti-business.

At his press conference Friday, President Obama noted that “the idea for this agency was Elizabeth Warren’s,” a reference to an essay she wrote in 2007 in Democracy: A Journal of Ideas in which she proposed a “Financial Product Safety Commission.”

The president went on to call Warren “a dear friend of mine. She’s somebody I’ve known since I was in law school. And I have been in conversations with her. She is a tremendous advocate for this idea. It’s only been a couple of months, and this is a big task standing up this entire agency, so I’ll have an announcement soon about how we’re going to move forward.”

    Happy 55th Birthday Mama!

I hope you’re enjoying this wonderful day:)

Ummmm as far as enlightening you on Vincent Gray I know I cannot. I only know he’s of the old guard that Fenty’s been trying to bust up since his arrival in 06′. I was so excited to vote too! Since living here for 10 years this was my first time voting as a district resident instead of shuffling back home to Maryland. Anywho, have a totally awesome birthday mom! I love you:)

Gray decisively defeats Fenty in race for D.C. mayor
By Tim Craig and Nikita Stewart
    Wednesday, September 15, 2010; 2:45 AM

D.C. Council Chairman Vincent C. Gray won the Democratic nomination for mayor early Wednesday. With nearly all returns counted, voters rejected incumbent Adrian M. Fenty’s hard-charging style in favor of promises of a new, conciliatory approach to governing a fast-changing city.

Happy Speed Limit Birthday Ametia! Enjoy yourself.
And I maintain that Fenty was unfairly run out of town. Did he have issues? Hell yes, but he was more effective, than he was flawed. And Vincent Gray won because he wasn’t Fenty, not because he had anything productive he was bringing to the table. Its just disappointing all the way around.

How Adrian Fenty lost his reelection bid for D.C. mayor

One afternoon in late June, D.C. Mayor Adrian M. Fenty’s political advisers invited their boss to a downtown conference room to report an unsettling development: Focus groups commissioned by the campaign were saying that Fenty’s leadership style was offensive and that he was oblivious to constituents’ concerns.

The GOP is getting what they set in motion, by allowing the nuttery to hijack the party since last August’s HCR debates. They have completely become UNHINGED, and youtube and the cable networks are their platforms.

The anti-masturbation chic from Delawrae is a wind-up, clueless, Palin-wann-be, brainless, barbie doll!

      • LOL

The GOP is freaking out because the tea party candidates won. They unleashed this monster and now they’re afraid. What they meant for harm, God has turned it around for good. No weapon formed against President Obama shall prosper! God is good all the time and all the time God is good.

      • Ametia says:

Yes, but we can’t stand on the sidelines and claim victory from these freaks.

        Let the church say AMEN!

  17. True Friend

A true friend is hard to find,
    Someone who is always kind.
    Words of advice; freely share,
    Helping hand, always spare.

A true friend is hard to find,
    Someone always on my mind.
    Listens, cares, and understands,
    Hardships; mutually withstands.

A true friend is hard to find,
Someone like you! Let me remind.
    Birthday greetings, from my heart,
    This celebration, we must start.
