Ring My Bell is a 1979 popular disco song by Anita Ward. It was originally written for Stacy Lattisaw, but when she signed with a different label, Ward was asked to sing it instead and it became her only major hit. [1] The song hit number one on the disco charts.[2] “Ring My Bell” went to number one on both the Billboard Hot 100, and soul singles chart. [3]. It also reached number one on the UK Singles Chart.”Ring My Bell” has been covered by many artists since its original release, including Ann Lee, Tori Amos, Blood Sisters, Dynamic Duo, D’Flow Production Squad, Collette, Saïan Supa Crew, INOJ, Pato Fu, Joey Boy, and Sxip Shirey. It has also been remixed many times and is considered a disco-era classic.

Black Voices is reporting that Rev. Eddie Long will step down after Sunday’s Sermon:
http://www.bvblackspin.com/2010/09/24/bishop-eddie-long-to-step-down-as-pastor-after-sunday/
in a word… G-O-O-D! Oh, is he gonna give any of the tithe money back?
Some just might ask for it back. This is devastating to the church.
I heard that too! It’s not surprising.
Bye!
Bossip sources confirm that 30 young men have contacted the lawyer representing the young men. Now who has the “Tiger Woods Deep Pocket Hush Money” for Rev. Long?

Breaking News:
Fourth Lawsuit Filed Against Bishop Eddie Long
http://www.myfoxatlanta.com/dpp/news/4th-man-sues-bishop-eddie-long-092410
ATLANTA – There was more trouble for Bishop Eddie Long Friday. A fourth man filed a lawsuit accusing Long of sexual misconduct. The man sad he met Bishop Long at a New Birth Missionary Baptist Church satellite church in North Carolina.
The latest case contains strikingly similar allegations to the earlier lawsuits, but this lawsuit claims the man met Bishop Long in Charlotte, Long’s hometown. Bishop Eddie Long will soon face the fourth allegation of sex with a male parishioner, according to a publicist for attorney BJ Bernstein.
The press release says a young man named Spencer LeGrande met Bishop Long at the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC. According to the lawsuit, LeGrande attended the very first service at New Birth Missionary in Charlotte.
The press release says Long had sex with the young man on an overseas trip to Africa and at other locations. LaGrande filed a lawsuit against Bishop Long late Friday afternoon.
Three other young men, Maurice Robinson, Anthony Flagg, and Jamal Parris, filed lawsuits earlier this week accusing Long of using his power as a preacher to sexually seduce them.
Long has denied all the charges and says he will speak publicly about the accusations for the first time this Sunday, at his church.
I weep for the Church. I pray the Church holds it together. If all is true, it will have a profound affect on the Church. Lord help the members!
My heart goes out to the young boys. I don’t give a shit about the pastor or the ADULT congregation.
I do care about the adult congregation because the Pastor is the Shepherd of the flock. The flock looks to the Pastor for feeding, for leadership, for instruction unto righteousness. He is responsible for the flock. The scripture gives a parable of the lost sheep. If one member of the flock strays away, the Shepherd leaves the 99 sheep and goes to look for the lost sheep to bring it back into the fold. In this case, the Shepherd has strayed way. Now, all the sheep have no one to look after them. I hurt for the Church. It’s a major blow for all of them. It’s a spiritual death!

O’Donnell: I Will Stop The Whole Country From Having Sex
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/09/24/christine-odonnell-will-s_n_738276.html
Sweet sassy molassey! People are still finding clips of GOP Delaware Senate nominee Christine O’Donnell saying strange things on the teevee? Apparently, Christine O’Donnell was, all this time, one of the most televised figures in politics. Additionally, her desire to stop the unmarried masses from making sweet, sweet love to one another was astoundingly ambitious.
From Greg Sargent, here’s a clip of O’Donnell enthusiastically vowing to keep America from having sex.
It all went down on a 2003 episode of “Scarborough Country,” which was “Morning Joe” before Mika and the Starbucks sponsorship, when the dude who hosted “The Grind” on MTV would just show up wearing a T-shirt and just start straight up opining at Joe Scarborough! It was a wild, more unrestrained time in American life, and Christine O’Donnell had a dream of throwing a wet towel on the whole thing:

Citizens United After Eight Months
— By Kevin Drum
| Fri Sep. 24, 2010 3:00 AM PDT
Last January, in the Citizens United case, the Supreme Court ruled that corporations were free to spend unlimited sums to support or oppose candidates for office. Eight months later, how’s that working out? Michael Luo and Stephanie Strom report in the New York Times:
Interviews with a half-dozen campaign finance lawyers yielded an anecdotal portrait of corporate political spending since the Citizens United decision. They agreed that most prominent, publicly traded companies are staying on the sidelines.
But other companies, mostly privately held, and often small to medium size, are jumping in, mainly on the Republican side. Almost all of them are doing so through 501(c) organizations, as opposed to directly sponsoring advertisements themselves, the lawyers said.
“I can tell you from personal experience, the money’s flowing,” said Michael E. Toner, a former Republican FEC commissioner, now in private practice at the firm Bryan Cave.

NBC CEO Jeff Zucker Leaving Network
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/09/24/jeff-zucker-leaving-nbc_n_738004.html
NBC Universal CEO Jeff Zucker told the New York Times’ Bill Carter that he will leave the network when the company is acquired by Comcast.
Zucker acknowledged that the decision was “not his own choice,” according to Carter, and said that “in the last nine months it became increasingly clear that they did want to put their own team in place — and I didn’t want to end up being a guest in my own house.”
Zucker’s departure from NBC has been widely expected, and his time at the network — while it coincided with the growth of the company’s cable networks — was marked by ratings problems at flagship network NBC.
Bill Ayers Denied Emeritus Status By University Of Illinois
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/09/23/bill-ayers-denied-emeritu_n_737464.html
URBANA, Ill. — The University of Illinois on Thursday denied 1960s radical William Ayers emeritus faculty status after trustees Chairman Christopher Kennedy noted Ayers dedicated a book to, among others, the man who killed Kennedy’s father, Robert F. Kennedy.
All nine voting trustees either opposed granting Ayers, a recently retired University of Illinois-Chicago professor, the largely honorary status or abstained from the vote. Universities often grant emeritus status to distinguished retired faculty members. At Illinois it doesn’t come with any monetary benefits, spokesman Tom Hardy said.
Ayers co-founded the Weather Underground, an anti-war group held responsible for a series of bombings during the Vietnam War era, including nonfatal explosions at the Pentagon and U.S. Capitol.
Trustees voted after a speech by Kennedy in which he noted the 1974 book “Prairie Fire: The Politics of Revolutionary Anti-Imperialism,” by Ayers and other members of the Weather Underground. The book includes a dedication to a lengthy list of revolutionary figures, musicians and others, including Sirhan Sirhan, who shot Robert Kennedy to death in 1968 after the New York senator declared victory in the California Democratic presidential primary.

‘Money Never Sleeps’ faces hard time on Wall Street
By Christine Kearney
NEW YORK | Wed Sep 22, 2010 6:56pm IST
(Reuters) – Gordon Gekko, the archetypal villain of iconic 1980s movie “Wall Street” has a new mantra: greed is not just good, it’s legal and it’s everywhere.
But his words, and the sequel “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” that is set to hit cinemas worldwide on Friday, is unlikely to strike the same chord with securities traders and bankers that made Gekko a cult hero and the epitome of unabashed, 1980s financial excess, industry experts say.
“I don’t think it will be as big an issue on Wall Street in terms of dirtying its image,” said Igor Kirman, a partner at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, a major Wall Street law firm.

Jon Klein OUT At CNN, Ken Jautz In
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/09/24/jon-klein-out-at-cnn-ken-_n_737925.html
CNN/US President Jon Klein is leaving the network and will be replaced by HLN head Ken Jautz, the network announced Friday.
Klein’s firing comes on the heels of a primetime makeover at the network, with an Eliot Spitzer and Kathleen Parker show to debut at 8PM and Piers Morgan replacing Larry King at 9PM.
Klein’s tenure at the network was marked by an emphasis on CNN’s straight-news brand as its cable news rivals moved towards opinionated (and ratings-heavy) primetime hosts. The network under Klein has seen significant and continued difficulty in the ratings — marked most prominently by the departure of Campbell Brown and Larry King in primetime — but has consistently emphasized its healthy profits across a variety of platforms beyond simply primetime.
Jautz, who had overseen CNN’s sister network HLN’s transformation from Headline News to a channel focused on “News & Views,” will take the helm at CNN.
Karma! Stop trying to be like Fox News! Start reporting facts!
Personally, I have NO patience to sit and watch any of these cable networks. Thank goodness for internet. And Spitzer and Parker, not interested in what these folks have to say.
CNN ahs long become Fox Lite cable. Their “Black in America” series are crap, Larry King, bye!, Anderson Cooper, he loves himself so much, along with the camera, John King, Dana Bash, Cindy Carbo-queen Crowley, they’re all GOP water-carriers. CNN brings Roland Martin & Donna Brazille on as token blacks for issues on race. SCREW CNN!
Co-Signing all of it!
Hot damn!
Go get’em, Grayson!
LOL! He’s got the gonads & $$$$$$ to smack these monkeys from here to kingdom come!

Even Shepard Fairey’s Losing Hope- (after making dope $$$ of Obama’s image)
September 24, 2010 6:00 AM |
By Aamer Madhani
The artist whose poster of Barack Obama became a rallying image during the hope-and-change election of 2008 says he understands why so many people have lost faith.
In an exclusive interview with National Journal on Thursday, Shepard Fairey expressed his disappointment with the president — a malaise that seems representative of many Democrats who had great expectations for Obama.
Fairey explained that when he came up with the poster in 2008, he was trying to find a single image that embodied the issues he cared most about — promoting health care, helping labor, and curtailing lobbyists. He likened the issues to projectiles.
“Looking at Obama’s standpoint on various policies, it was like, ‘Why throw all these particular projectiles over the wall… when I could put all those things in one projectile that I could hurl over the wall,’” Fairey said in a phone interview from Los Angeles, where he lives. “Obama was the delivery device in theory. Now, I realize that he maybe is not the correct delivery device, and I’ll just deal with those issues separately.”
