“The Little Drummer Boy“, also known as “Carol of the Drum“, is a popular Christmas song written by Katherine K. Davis.[1] It was popularised by the version of the Harry Simeone Chorale and has been adapted many times since.[2]
The lyrics tell of a poor young boy who, unable to afford a gift for the infant Jesus, plays his drum for the newborn with the Virgin Mary’s approval. The newborn seems to understand and smiles at the boy in gratitude.

Obama family flying to Hawaii without president
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20101217/ap_on_re_us/us_obama_hawaii
HONOLULU – President Barack Obama’s Hawaii vacation is being delayed by unfinished business in Washington, but first lady Michelle Obama and daughters Malia and Sasha are going ahead with their trip this weekend.
A statement from Michelle Obama’s office Friday said the rest of the family — including the first dog, Bo — will depart for Honolulu on Saturday as originally scheduled for the holidays.
The president won’t fly to Hawaii until Congress’ session is complete, possibly on Wednesday.
The family won’t take Air Force One, instead flying on a C40B, a version of the Boeing 737 that the first lady’s office described as one of the White House fleet’s smaller and most efficient planes.
The entire Obama family will return to Washington on Jan. 1.
GO on First Family, take that well deserved vacation.
Ho Ho Ho!
Simply lovely! Who you callin’ a HO?! BWA HA HA psyche…

CNN Teams With Tea Party To Host Presidential Debate

CNN announced Friday that it has teamed up with the Tea Party Express to host what it is calling a “first-of-its-kind Tea Party presidential primary debate” in September 2011.
The Republican debate will be held during the Labor Day week in Tampa, Florida. In a statement, CNN said the debate will place special emphasis on issues that the Tea Party has been “vocal in advocating,” including less government spending, lower taxes and a smaller deficit.
In the same statement, CNN political director Sam Feist said that “undecided voters turn to CNN to educate themselves during election cycles, so it is a natural fit for CNN to provide a platform for the diverse perspectives within the Republican Party, including those of the Tea Party.”
WTF? Ain’t this a mofo.
These media talking heads are punkass beyothces! they can dish it, but they can’t take the heat! LOL
Olbermann Suspends Twitter Account Over Julian Assange Rape Allegation “Frenzy”
Keith Olbermann’s 166,677 Twitter followers will have to get through the holidays without the MSNBC host’s show teases and sports trivia popping up in their Twitter feeds. The Countdown host today announced he would “suspend this account until this frenzy is stopped.” He’s even removed his profile picture and left the Twitter playground.
That frenzy involves an escalating Twitter campaign designed to get Olbermann to apologize for comments made during a Countdown segment involving the rape allegations against WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.
Mediaite’s Tommy Christopher wrote about the interview and the ensuing Twitter fight that left Olbermann clearly feeling under siege.
Around noon today, Olbermann tweeted “I have already apologized. This has now descended into a frenzy in which I will not participate.” He then continued to participate, engaging a number of Twitterers, and at one point describing the exchange as “now beyond ridiculous.”
By 2 p.m., Olbermann had apparently had enough:

Sarah Palin Goes After Obama On National TV
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/12/17/sarah-palin-gma-interview_n_798160.html#comments
Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin appeared on ABC News’s “Good Morning America” for an exclusive interview Friday, in which she went on the offensive against her usual suspects and argued that there was a “double standard” on the political tears of men and women.
Palin wasted no time criticizing President Obama and his recently passed tax cut plan, which he is expected to sign shortly. Obama, she maintained, is “fundamentally transforming America.”
“We don’t need a fundamental transformation, we need a renewal and a restoration of what is good about America,” Palin said. “That’s strong national defense, that’s free market principles, being allowed to be applied so that our private sector grows and prospers.”
As for the tax cut plan, which among other things will extend the Bush tax cuts for the wealthiest two percent of Americans, Palin explained her lasting opposition to the “lousy” deal as a function of its “temporary” nature and its re-implementation of an estate tax, a rate that many Democrats argued was too low, but other Republicans wanted to repeal permanently.
“Congress, just hold off on this. President Obama, just hold off on this. Let the new Congress be seated and then let’s do it right,” Palin said.
Does this bish have the hots for the President? I mean why else would she constantly try to seek attention from him?
Bitch, BYE!

Submitted on December 17, 2010 – 10:28am
ARLINGTON, Va. – President Barack Obama has turned up at a Virginia elementary school to read to a group of second-graders from his new children’s book.
The book — “Of Thee I Sing” — is a picture book in the form of a letter to his daughters portraying the lives of 13 great Americans. It was written in 2008 but just came out this fall.
As the children squirmed and giggled, Obama read entries on Albert Einstein and Jackie Robinson, then skipped to the book’s final notable, Abraham Lincoln. He also read the Chrismas poem “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” by

Sen. Hutchison moves to block funds for FCC on net neutrality rules
By Cecilia Kang
Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-Tex.), ranking member of the Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee filed an amendment to an appropriations bill aimed at preventing the Federal Communications Commission from adopting net neutrality regulation.
Hutchison’s amendment, co-signed by John Ensign (R-Nev.) and six other Republican lawmakers, would “prohibit the FCC from using any appropriated funds to adopt, implement or otherwise litigate any network neutrality based rules, protocols or standards.”
An FCC spokeswoman declined comment on the amendment.

Ametia, thanks. I’m not seeing this discussed much, which is interesting all by itself. I guess the FCC is learning that free speech isn’t free!
Still trying to figure out why John Ensign gets to vote on anything except how to pay off his ex-mistress…
I hear you on Ensign. Can you say double standard/ white privilege?
