I mean, it’s bad enough your patriarch was involved with the cover-up of that monster, Jerry Sandusky, and his “pranks”, which included taking showers with pre-pubescent boys and raping them as well – Joe Pa allowed, conveniently turned his back (whatever fits), this shyt to continue for decades, before someone actually got ill enough at what they saw to turn his ass in.

A spokesman for NBC Sports Network told USA TODAY Sports the suit will be announced tonight on Costas Tonight, broadcaster Bob Costas’ 11 p.m. show on NBC Sports Network, after the NHL Western Conferenge Game 7. The spokesman, Adam Freifeld, said the show was taped Tuesday, and the suit will be announced by Paterno family attorney Wick Sollers, former Pennsylvania Governor Dick Thornburgh and family spokesman Dan McGinn.
Damn, what about Sandusky’s VICTIMS? Many of those boys were OUR kids. Kids who had their innocence stolen from them by Sandusky, and aided and abetted by Paterno and the whole Penn State Athletic Department who took no action against this bastard until the public learned about it – then they couldn’t continue the cover-up. Every time the Paterno family pulls shyt like lawsuits, they are invalidating what Sandusky’s victims suffered and won’t let this whole sorry mess DIE.
I’m sorry, Paterno Clan, if being associated with Joe Pa, in life or in his death, is causing you some grief, but that is NOTHING compared to what those kids Jerry Sandusky molested and raped had to endure. Your pursuing a lawsuit against anyone who tore your patriarch off that pedestal he was on basically says you don’t give a damn about what those kids suffered, and were allowed to suffer because your patriarch turned his back and a blind eye to what his assistant coach was doing with those kids in the locker room and elsewhere.
Hell, even Sandusky’s own son came forward and alleged molestation by his own father, so what the hell are the Paternos trying to do with this Mofo lawsuit against the NCAA? Joe Pa is DEAD. And any victory accomplished by the Paterno family does more for THEM than it does for HIM, because he’s DEAD. Sorry, he could have died with more dignity and honor, but the fact he chose to turn his back, keep his mouth shut – whatEVER; his lack of action ensured he went to his grave with the knowledge that keeping his mouth shut on behalf of his good buddy Jerry sent him there with his reputation and accomplishments tarnished. I think Joe Pa accepted that. Too bad his family won’t.
And, I hope they get laughed out of court – the only ones getting a fat check from this is the lawyer smart enough to take this case knowing he can’t win, but he can sure as hell get FAT PAID.
The family want to clear Paterno’s name. My head’s spinning from this one. Clear his name? What about the boys Sandusky raped? What about their names?
They can clear Joe Pa’s name when they give those kids Sandusky raped back their innocence and trust in adults.

The only “rise” that they should be doing is outrage that the Paterno clan continues to rip open wounds that need to begin to heal, and one way of accomplishing that is for them to quit trying to clear Joe Pa’s name. The only person who could have cleared Joe Pa’s name is Joe Paterno, and he shut the fuck up about all of it. The only thing he did say is that he WISHED he’d taken action to get Sandusky the hell away from those kids and he didn’t.
