Video | Diane Sawyer- Governor Chris Christie Interview Post Internal GWB Gate Investigation

Christie cleared in his own probe, but others loom

Seriously, BALLS on this CLOWN.  Hires his CRONIES to investigate him.

Internal Review Team Puts Forward Comprehensive and Exhaustive Report

• Governor Christie did not know, and had no involvement in the decision to realign the lanes.

  • There is also no evidence that the Governor knew of the lane realignment while it was occurring.

• There is no evidence that any member of the Governor’s staff, besides Bridget Kelly, was involved in the decision to
realign the lanes or took any action to cover it up.

  • Speculation that there was a culture of retaliation within the Governor’s Office is “unsubstantiated.”

• David Wildstein and Bridget Kelly “knowingly participated in this plan … at least in part, for some ulterior motive to
target Mayor Sokolich.”

  •  “The participants in this plan were not authorized by Governor Christie or anyone else in the Office of the Governor.
  • Governor to realign or alter the George Washington Bridge Fort Lee access lanes.”
  • Post Governor Chris Christie’s office internal investigation, it’s soooo clear that the report has basically given his Deputy Chief of Staff Bridget Kelly the ultimate gift that keeps on giving.

Bridget Kelly Fires Back at ‘Venomous,’ ‘Sexist Remarks’ in BridgeGate Report
    by Josh Feldman | 6:41 pm, March 28th, 2014

Bridget Kelly, the Chris Christie aide directly implicated in the BridgeGate scandal, sent out a statement today slamming the credibility of the report released this week and slamming the “editorialized comments” of the man leading the investigation.

In particular, Kelly’s statement takes serious issue with several references to her relationship to another Christie ally in the report. Rachel Maddow called out those parts of the report as “slut-shaming” last night, and Kelly’s statement calls them out for blatant sexism.

“The report’s venomous, gratuitous, and inappropriate sexist remarks concerning Ms. Kelly have no place in what is alleged to be a professional and independent report.”

COME CLEAN WITH THE FACTS ABOUT KRISPY CREAME, KELLY. You’re playing their game with responding to the sexist remarks, and distracting from the fact that you took orders from this clown Christie to shut down those bridge lanes.

    Christie’s lawyers release his defense

Chris Christie lawyers have released a report that concluded Christie knew nothing about the lane closures. Lawrence O’Donnell talks to Joy Reid and Andrea Bernstein.

    A Whitewash for Gov. Christie

Lawyers hired by Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey at public expense issued their findings Thursday on the traffic jams at the George Washington Bridge in September, apparently engineered as a bizarre form of political revenge. To no one’s surprise, Mr. Christie’s lawyers have found his hands to be clean. He was without fault, they declared. This glossy political absolution cost the taxpayers of New Jersey more than $1 million in legal fees.

We can now add this expensive whitewash to all the other evidence of trouble in Mr. Christie’s administration. If Mr. Christie really wants to win back public trust, he and his political allies can start by paying for this internal inquiry out of their own pockets. Then the governor and these lawyers can make all emails and any other crucial information available to federal and state investigators.

In the report, lawyers from Gibson Dunn & Crutcher said they interviewed 70 people, including Mr. Christie, and studied 250,000 documents, including private phone records for Mr. Christie and his top aides. The lead lawyer, Randy Mastro, a former deputy mayor in Rudolph Giuliani’s administration, boasted that his work was “comprehensive and exhaustive.”

    Not exactly.

The report lays the blame for this entire scandal on two of Mr. Christie’s former colleagues, who refused to be interviewed. One was Bridget Anne Kelly, who was Mr. Christie’s deputy chief of staff until he called her a liar at a news conference and fired her in January. The other was David Wildstein, a former Christie ally and appointee to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey who resigned last year.

  6. Ametia says:

Lawrence O’Donnell is tearing that bullshit internal report from Christie’s attorney’s APART.

  7. Why is it he’s not in jail? Why is he still Governor? WP is a hellava drug.

  8. He found himself NOT GUILTY. Now that’s some REAL WP!
