The lengths of their evil just know no bounds:
Senate GOP: McCain may return for ObamaCare vote Tuesday
By Alexander Bolton – 07/24/17 05:31 PM EDT
Senate Republican Whip John Cornyn (Texas) told reporters Monday that McCain was trying to get approval from his doctors to return Tuesday.
McCain’s office declined to confirm his schedule.
Two Senate aides said they expect he will be present Tuesday afternoon when lawmakers vote on a motion to proceed to the House-passed American Health Care Act.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) has said he will offer an amendment to replace it with a bill that repeals as much of ObamaCare as possible, setting up a two-year transition to craft replacement legislation.
If that amendment fails, the Senate is likely to move to its version of legislation to repeal and replace the pillars of ObamaCare, the Better Care Reconciliation Act. That measure, however, did not appear to have enough votes to pass, as of Monday afternoon.

Cornyn tells us he offered to drive McCain cross country in RV for health care vote.
Ain’t this some shyt?
Cornyn offers to DRIVE a CANCER PATIENT THAT IS 80 YEARS OLD
Across the country, so that he can vote TO TAKE AWAY HEALTHCARE FROM 32 MILLION PEOPLE?
Their evil knows no bounds.
Senator McCain is a living, breathing pre-existing condition, and has been so since he returned from Vietnam.
Even if his wife wasn’t rich, he’d still be getting healthcare from that socialist organization known as the VA.
But, his wife is rich, and it’s appalling to think that someone with his health issues would even consider taking away healthcare from those who don’t have the option for the VA and/or don’t have rich wives.
THAT is the appalling part for McCain.
But, that Cornyn doesn’t have enough respect for McCain’s health to not even suggest this.
He wants McCain so that he can HURT MILLIONS of Americans.
I told you that Trumpcare was Legislative Evil.
Today, is the day, folks.
They will be taking a vote on something that they don’t even know what it is.
Then, I see this lunacy:

Senate Republicans overcome hurdle, advance ACA repeal crusade
07/25/17 04:16 PM
By Steve Benen
It wasn’t easy, and it took quite a bit more drama than anyone expected to see, but Senate Republicans took their first meaningful step this afternoon toward taking health care benefits from millions of Americans.
It’s important to understand what did and did not happen today. Senate Republicans did not, for example, repeal the Affordable Care Act, in whole or in part. Today’s 51-50 vote was a procedural step, not a vote on the substance of any health care legislation.
If even one additional GOP senator either missed the vote or voted “no,” the Republicans’ repeal crusade would have effectively ended today. But with two GOP senators – Maine’s Susan Collins and Alaska’s Lisa Murkowski – voting “no” instead of three, it means the process can and will move forward.
Perhaps the most striking vote was cast by West Virginia’s Shelley Moore Capito (R), who assured voters just last week, “I will only vote to proceed to repeal legislation if I am confident there is a replacement plan that addresses my concerns.” She appears to have broken her word: there is no replacement plan that addresses her concerns, but Capito voted the way her party told her to on the motion to proceed anyway.

Yeah, that was my first thought.
Everything rides on 2018. Absolutely everything.
We have got to go after those Senate and House seats like bandits from hell.
We’ve got to fight voter suppression like our lives depend on it because they actually do.
We’ve got to draw lines in the sand and compromise on nothing.
F*** the GOP. Reckless, greedy hatemongers. Damn them to hell.
Today’s vote is preliminary.
Thousands of lives can be saved if every “yes” vote has the worst night of their life tonight.

GOP Rep: I Don’t Think You Can Bully Jeff Sessions Because He’s An ‘Adult’

Admitting he quit reading President Donald Trump’s tweets “quite a long time ago,” Rep. Chris Stewart (R-UT) dismissed the President’s most recent Twitter attack against the attorney general, saying he doesn’t think it’s possible to bully Jeff Sessions because he’s an “adult.”
“I don’t think he’s bullying. For one thing, I don’t think you can bully Jeff Sessions. Adults don’t— I don’t feel bullied. I have people object to me and chant at me and do all sorts of things to me. I don’t feel bullied by it,” he said Tuesday on CNN. “If you were to ask Jeff Sessions, I’m pretty sure he’d say I don’t feel bullied by this either.”
WH Spox Backtracks, Says Trump Still Looking Over Russia Sanctions Bill
By CAITLIN MACNEAL
Published JULY 25, 2017 9:42 AM
After saying on Sunday that President Donald Trump supported a bill imposing new sanctions on Russia, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders backtracked on Monday, telling reporters that the President was still reviewing the bill.
“He’s looking over where it stands exactly at this point and we’ll keep you posted on the decision,” Sanders told reporters aboard Air Force One when asked about the Russia sanctions bill.
“The President has been very vocal about his support for continued sanctions on those three countries. He has no intention of getting rid of them, but he wants to make sure we get the best deal for the American people possible. Congress doesn’t have the best record on that,” she said, describing the President’s thinking on the bill working its way through Congress, which would impose new sanctions on North Korea and Iran as well as Russia.

Even the Boy Scouts aren’t exempt from Trump’s boorishness
07/25/17 08:00 AM
By Steve Benen
Donald Trump recently said his bizarre antics and behavior may not be “presidential,” per se, but he believes they’re “modern-day presidential.” In practice, evidently, that means putting on a partisan political show for a group of children.
As it turns out, Donald Trump wants to speak about politics when he’s in front of the Boy Scouts.
The rules of the Boy Scouts appear to discourage participation in partisan political events, but Trump – the honorary president of the organization for over a century – just couldn’t seem to help himself. He spent his time yesterday lashing out at journalists, pollsters, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and the Affordable Care Act.
Trump celebrated the 2016 electoral-college map, promised the restoration of “Merry Christmas,” and threatened to fire his HHS secretary if the Republican health care plan didn’t pass Congress.
If it sounds like I’m describing a Trump campaign rally, it’s because, in effect, I am. From Trump’s perspective, that’s precisely what his appearance was supposed to be.
Daniel Dale highlighted the 17 “most jaw-dropping moments” from the president’s appearance, which included a meandering five-minute story about developer William Levitt:
Abandoning subtlety, Trump lashes out at AG Jeff Sessions
07/25/17 08:40 AM—UPDATED 07/25/17 08:45 AM
By Steve Benen
Last week, Donald Trump complained bitterly about Attorney General Jeff Sessions, condemning the Alabama Republican’s decision to recuse himself from overseeing the investigation into the Trump-Russia scandal. The president’s argument wasn’t subtle: Trump wanted Sessions to help shield the White House, and he’s outraged that the A.G. isn’t helping cover up the controversy.
Almost immediately, there was a question about whether Sessions, lacking the confidence of the president who appointed him, would have to resign, but the attorney general vowed to remain at his post.
That, in turn, has apparently led to a new strategy: Trump will attack Sessions publicly, in the hopes that the attorney general will get the hint and quit.

No one knows what the Senate’s going to do. But it will do it today.
It’s impossible to overstate how incredible this is:
The Senate is planning to vote today to begin debate on a health care bill.
No one knows which one — which means no one knows what it would do. Would it fundamentally restructure Medicaid? Would it send individual insurance markets across the country into a tailspin?
The Senate won’t know until it has already voted, later in the week, on one bill or another. And all of the available options still have major holes.
