Forget calling it “Finding Fulfillment,” and, instead, call it “Finding how to be coldhearted.”

    A new GOP SCAM

Ivanka, Rubio find a new project: Paid family leave

Can the duo pining for a softer side of Republicanism win over the GOP?

    02/04/2018 06:54 AM EST

“We still have to work on members of my own party,” Rubio said in an extended interview with POLITICO about his effort. “I think there will be significant initial resistance to it, because it’s just not an issue that’s been identified with the Republican Party.”

Rubio has barely started crafting a paid leave bill, much less a broader legislative strategy. But he envisions an idea that has recently gained traction in conservative circles: allowing people to draw Social Security benefits when they want to take time off for a new baby or other family-related matters, and then delay their checks when they hit retirement age.

This is a great video clip I had not seen before:
“Mahalia Jackson singing & Martin Luther King Jr preaching at Church”
“(VIDEO): During the Chicago Movement for Freedom (ca. 1965-1967), Mahalia Jackson joined his friend Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., whe he was preaching a sermon about justice and equality at Church.”

Excerpt from article at this link:

Nearly two months after learning his sentence for fatally shooting Walter Scott, former North Charleston police officer Michael Slager left the Charleston County jail on Friday morning. His next stop: a federal prison.

Slager, 36, was released at 9:30 a.m., jail records and Capt. Roger Antonio of the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.

“The marshals came and got him,” Antonio said. “Destination: unknown.”

…The former lawman was sentenced in early December to 20 years in prison for violating Scott’s civil rights in the April 2015 killing.

    Holy Spirit…Living Water….

    Lyrics for following video:

“Holy Spirit, speak comfort to my soul.
Holy Spirit, let Your joys unfold.
Lord of the harvest, power of the highest,
Spirit of glory, Voice of the Lord, breathe on me.

    We are waiting blessed Master,
    Like the day of Pentecost.
Let the wind blow fresh from heaven.
    Let the promised power begin.

Lord of the harvest, power of the highest,
spirit of glory, voice of the Lord; breathe on me.

    Sweet Spirit, Holy Spirit,
    Mighty Spirit, Your Spirit.

    Burning Spirit, Holy Spirit,
    True Spirit, Your Spirit,
Breathe on me, breathe on me. “

So Joy Reid is just an after thought? She’s got her own fucking weekend show, and wraps circles around Turr & Wallace.

And honestly, I can only take so much of Maddow, who goes on and on, talking to us like we’re six graders.

This pure evil needs to stop!

The White extremists are going mad with hate.

We who have love in our hearts need to band together and say Love is Stronger Than Hate. With power in numbers, we can choose to let our light shine!

I would love to know your favorite versions of “This Little Light of Mine.” Ladies, would you please consider posting them here?

Some of these European countries are following Israel’s lead in rounding up and shooting African immigrants. Cowards, using drive-by shootings to hide their hatred.

      • majiir says:

A couple months ago, I read an article about Nazism and the Holocaust and discovered the Germans who were responsible for these atrocities used American racism and Jim Crow laws to craft their anti-Semitic policies. The U.S. provided a template for Nazis in Germany on how to discriminate against, persecute, and kill a nation’s own citizens.
“If, like many White Americans, you believe that racism ended with the abolition of slavery, consider this: not so long ago (during the lifetime of my parents), Germany used the laws, policies, and practices of the U.S. as a model for the creation of the Nazi state.”

  19. Good morning, everyone. Happy Sunday!
