Barbara Walters was the definition of brilliance. She was the masterclass at journalism. This woman was a trailblazer that busted barriers in the industry and shattered a glass ceiling for women to be anything they dream to be. Iām going to miss that voice.

The world of journalism has lost a pillar of professionalism, courage, and integrity. Barbara Walters was a trailblazer and a true pro. She outworked, out-thought, and out-hustled her competitors. She left the world the better for it. She will be deeply missed.Ā RIP

Simplest and best tribute to exemplify the Barbara Walters legacy :
On her final show on The View, they just brought one female journalist after another to honour her. All ages, races, from NBC to FOX, to say thank you. Sheās completely overwhelmed and touched. pic.twitter.com/923BqlU7CG

Oprah pays tribute to Barbara Walters: āWithout Barbara Walters, there would be no me ā nor any other woman you see on evening, morning and daily news.ā pic.twitter.com/1mcimXje5B

In 1988, Oprah told Barbara Walters that she studied + copied her mannerisms for a TV audition. Barbara would look up/down, so Oprah looked up/downā¦but she didnāt know that Barbara was ~actually~ just looking at the notecards on her lap. Oprah got the job anyway.
An icon. RIP pic.twitter.com/RM9f73d8Vs

Barbara Walters was an American institution. As the first female national news anchor, she opened the door to endless possibilities for so many girls who wanted to work in TV, myself included. Her impact cannot be overstated. Iāll miss you, Barbara. Thank you for everything. pic.twitter.com/HokDilM6Rj

Iāve never seen this clip before, but this exemplifies why Barbara Walters is considered a journalistic icon. For journalists, it isnāt about your question āš¾soundingāš¾tough. Itās about getting the subject to expose something about themselves ā good or bad. https://t.co/RcIZGtbcOC

Pretty sure @BetteMidler remains the only one to have made her shed a tear on live TV. Now, we shed a tear but pay tribute to a legend. Rest in peace, Barbara Walters. pic.twitter.com/pi3ET88GiG
