Three-line wrap-up:
1) This won’t change the results. I mean, if Harris’s demolition of Trump didn’t, no debate will.
2) Vance much more at-home seeming in real time. And “beating expectations” about sounding “normal.”
3) But Vance created many more time-bomb clips that will cause him follow-up problems: Denying he supported nationwide abortion ban; refusing to answer election-denial question; no comeback for “where is Mike Pence”; man-splaining over the (female) moderators; saying Trump saved ACA, etc.

My husband spoke to a client of his last week.
Woman in her early 80’s. Conversation turned political.
She’s a trumper who watches Fox all day everyday.
She was criticizing Harris and saying the economy was better under Trump. Ed laughed.
He told her to call her financial broker, and ask how her portfolio did in the years 2017-2020 vs 2021-2024.
And he bet her $25 she’s done better the last 4 years.
She disagreed.
She called Ed today, and was flabbergasted that Ed was right.
Downright shocked.
He asked if she would vote for Harris now that she saw proof she is better off, and she said as much as I hate to admit it, I guess I would be stupid not to.
We have to meet them where they are, and show them why voting for Harris impacts their life.
