Tsonga, 26, said: “I didn’t just have a sudden flash of inspiration out there – I had lots of them.

“I was quick, I served unbelievable, I was just perfect today. Every time I was feeling like a dream.

“Even at two sets down, I still felt I had a chance. I was not playing ridiculous tennis, and Roger’s record of never losing in a Grand Slam from two sets up never crossed my mind.

“Roger is the best, and I don’t know if I have finished his aura of being invincible on grass – only the future will tell us.

“But I was not scared of him on the big points, and for me this will always be one of the best memories in my career.”

If his serve remains as lethal as this, Tsonga need not limit his ambitions to upsetting No.2 seed Novak Djokovic in the last four tomorrow afternoon.

He could win Wimbledon – and after plunging the land of cuckoo clocks into mourning, that’s no idle threat from cloud cuckoo land.  Source.

Nice post here. It’s going to be a great final no matter who makes it there I think. Tsonga is a great personality and I think it’s too bad he hasn’t played into semi-finals and finals more often. There are 4 intriguing stories in each of the semi-finalists and I think it is just a testament to the amount of talent that the men’s game is putting out and the many different personalities professional tennis is offering up to fans right now. I’m personally hoping for a Nadal-Tsonga final but that’s just me. It’s going to be a fun one on Friday. Also, you think you could take a look at my blog cuz I really want to know what you think http://chrisross91.wordpress.com/2011/06/30/the-grunt-stops-here/

Hi Chris. Welcome to 3 Chics. I watched quite a bit of the women’s until Venus and Serena were ousted. I too would love to see a Nadal/Tsonga showdown. It would be thrilling! Sure, I’ll take a look at your blog. Stop in anytime. Thank you.

Nice blog site, Chris. I left a comment. You keep speaking your own truths. I love how you left room for debate/discussion. You don’t need to have agreement on your ideas. That’s the beauty and freedom with owning your own space to write.

  2. Whoo Hoo! Go Jo-Wilfried!

    Big Up!
