The Detroit News 4/4/67 – Rearview Mirror: Detroit Reacts To King’s Assassination as quoted in Time.com

“The Walk to Freedom was a tremendous success. It was held on Sunday, June 23, 1963. Some 125,000 peaceful demonstrators took part and raised more than $40,000 for the cause. State and local officials, including Mayor Jerome C. Cavanaugh, took part. Governor George Romney did not march because he did not engage in politics on the Sabbath, but he did declare Sunday “Freedom March Day.” ”

I’ve been honest about this. I don’t trust Mormons raised in the Mormon faith.

I would be going to hell in MY LIFETIME because of WHO I WAS…not anything I did?

Mitt was 31 years old when the church finally decided that GOD had given word of Blacks not being soooooo E-VIL as god had once informed them. 31years old! He’s proud of his religion that was his response. He would not say it was wrong.

  5. Mitt,

Stop lying! Your dad did NOT march with Dr Martin Luther King! Just stop it already!

You notice, Mitt would not repudiate the ugliness of Mormons believing Blacks were evil from 1947-1970s. He didn’t answer Tim’s question.

      • You got it! Did you notice he said he wasn’t going to distance himself from his faith? He knew what the Mormon church believed about black people. Mitt yet believes it too. When he says “America has lost her greatness”, he means since the black family has been living in the White House.
