First Lady Michelle Obama Visits Twin Cities To Meet With National Guard Families

Michelle Obama has arrived in the Twin Cities. First Lady Michelle Obama began her visit witih military families Friday, accompanied by MN Gov Mark Dayton. MN Senator Amy Klobachar,and Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak were attendance:  MPR NEWS

First Lady Michelle Obama will be in the Twin Cities Friday to meet with National Guard families and local community leaders who support them.

The trip is part of the First Lady’s Joining Forces Community Challenge. The effort is designed to recognize citizens and community groups that are committed to improving the lives of military families and veterans.

During her trip she will participate in a roundtable discussion about Minnesota’s best practices. She will also speak at an event for the Democratic National Committee being held at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis.
