PBO does these WHCD speeches really well. American journalism has gotten to be such a joke that it must be difficult to come up with jokes that are add anything to what occurs on a daily basis. Still, it was pretty funny just watching PBO call out these folks especially Fox News.
The ending was kind of somber when PBO talked about the countries (Ukraine, Afghanistan, Syria, Egypt) where real journalists are literally risking their lives and sometimes losing their lives to report the truth. I guess we can draw our own conclusions when we compare that to our own corporate media, especially Fox, but none of them are doing what they should be.
Seriously Liza, President Obama, FLOTUS, and watching the young and upcoming journalism candidates is the only reason I watch this event.
And it’s the one time of the year during his presidential tenure where he gets to tell the truth to these fools with a great BIG SMILE.
It’s all one big joke tho the so-called US media.
