Jackie Robinson West Falls to South Korea in LLWS Championship Game
CHICAGO — Jackie Robinson West‘s epic Little League adventure came up one win short of a world title as the Chicago club lost 8-4 to Seoul, South Korea, on Sunday in the Little League World Series championship game at historic Lamade Stadium in Williamsport, Pa.

From the moment these young men stepped off the plane from Williamsport, Chicago has embraced them with love. You can see that the young men were shocked by the reception they received at the airport, and today there was a parade for them, beginning at the baseball diamond on the South Side, where it all began for them and it wound up downtown in Millenium Park.

Little League World Series: Mo’Ne Davis and Jackie Robinson West have a big impact
In a hamlet along the Susquehanna River, regal atop a pitcher’s mound at just 13, The Girl of Summer wound and delivered. Her dreadlocked braids flowing beautifully behind her ballcap, she fired in fastball after fastball for strikes. Throaty roars followed, from South Williamsport, Pa., to every tuned-in, awestruck viewer.
When Mo’ne Davis was through transfixing us, the kids from Jackie Robinson West on the South Side of Chicago took the baton, churning all the way to the championship game of the Little League World Series, where no all-African American team has won the title.
