  1. Where is the got damn police in military gear w/ snipers, dogs & tear gas for these armed thugs occupying a federal facility in Oregon? Police did it to unarmed #Ferguson protesters. We saw it in Baltimore against unarmed protesters.

For Donald Trump, Lessons From a Brother’s Suffering

Freddy’s son, Fred III, spoke at the funeral, and that night, his wife went into labor with their son, who developed seizures that led to cerebral palsy. The Trump family promised that it would take care of the medical bills.

Then came the unveiling of Fred Sr.’s will, which Donald had helped draft. It divided the bulk of the inheritance, at least $20 million, among his children and their descendants, “other than my son Fred C. Trump Jr.”

Freddy’s children sued, claiming that an earlier version of the will had entitled them to their father’s share of the estate, but that Donald and his siblings had used “undue influence” over their grandfather, who had dementia, to cut them out.

A week later, Mr. Trump retaliated by withdrawing the medical benefits critical to his nephew’s infant child.

Trump Calls His Al Qaeda Recruitment Video Highest-Rated Terror Video Ever
    BY ANDY BOROWITZ

YORK (The Borowitz Report)—Just minutes after the Somali-based Al Qaeda affiliate Shabaab group released a propaganda video featuring a clip of Donald Trump, the Republican Presidential front-runner boasted that the video would be the highest-rated terror video of all time.

Within an hour of the video’s appearance, Trump took to Twitter to crow about his role in the jihadist promo, and tweaked his G.O.P. rivals for failing to be chosen by Shabaab.

“Shabaab would never put Jeb in video,” Trump tweeted. “Knows he is loser!”

But even as the billionaire boasted about his inclusion in the terror video, the prospect for future collaborations between Trump and Shabaab seemed to dim, due to a series of escalating demands issued by the real-estate magnate.

  7. So now the media is going after Camille Cosby asking if she had anything to do with supplying the drugs to husband? Shameless sobs!

    • eliihass says:

I just posted this in response to Ametia..

They want to humiliate her…It’s her punishment for not playing to a standard ‘feminist’ script…and for not joining in and PUBLICLY playing along – in line with the plans of those who for years covered up for her adulterous husband and instead cheered him on and rewarded him, but who’ve now decided for whatever reason, that now is the time to make him pay…

And yet nobody actually knows how she’s dealt with his bad behavior in private…even though she dignifiedly refuses to give the public any more fodder for gossip…or reward women who knowingly sought out and played along with her adulterous husband behind her back, but who now want her to show ‘sympathy’ for and ‘solidarity’ with them…

If there’s any victim in all of this, it is Camille Cosby…She’s dealt with the hurt, disrespect, pain, humiliation, betrayal, loss, disappointment…for all these years…It’s her marriage…her life…her years of investment as a wife, a mother, a grandmother …52+ years and counting of her life..

The media and those women ought to be apologizing to Camille Cosby…

Nobody ever gave a p*ss about her or thought about his wife when they were arranging for him and covering up meet-ups with other women – Not even the ones who claim all they ever only wanted from him was ‘mentoring’…a smart, decent woman will not strike up singular, exclusive ‘friendships’ with a married man – no matter how ‘impressive, brilliant, powerful or connected’…and especially not in isolation of his wife…smart, decent women do not meet up alone – or hang out alone in hotels or anywhere else for that matter, with a married man…If it’s a ‘business’ meeting, you show up with somebody..

Not to mention the bolder ones who thought they were slick – sniffing around a married celebrity, trying out their luck…sneaking around with this very married man…scheming and plotting and hoping he’d leave her for one of them…and getting really mad when he didn’t – and when they realized he saw them as merely play things – and when the hotel trysts abruptly ended, or he stopped paying the rent and had them evicted from the rentals where he was putting them up…then and only then did he become a bad, bad man…Not when he was cheating with them, not when he was spending money on them behind his wife’s back – but only after he in true asshole form, ditched them…

No surprise that Camille Cosby is being subjected to the other standard…she doesn’t get the sympathy, or the protection, nor is she excused…and as smart and humanitarian as she’s consistently been – and despite many years of investment in education, scholarships for underprivileged students, endowments for colleges and the arts – and all her many meaningful and inspiring great works over so many years, she’s certainly not been rallied around, hailed ‘feminist icon’, nor has she been deemed deserving of being the first woman president…

Interesting and well said, Ms. Ellihass. You know, the lives of the fabulously wealthy Hollywood celebrities and the trouble they get into with the leeches they attract is so far removed from anything I can imagine. So I don’t try. But I understand what you are saying about Camille Cosby. One has to wonder why she stayed, why she put up with it, but we have to assume she had her reasons. I’m sure that her humanitarian work was more effective from a position of power, and that could be the whole reason, who knows?

I commend her for not “publicly playing along” as you say. Her life is her own damn business. Period.

        • eliihass says:

The irony is that had Camille Cosby publicly reacted the way some are insisting she should have when she found out about her husband, she would have been pilloried still…accused of ’emasculating’ her prominent husband, being too ‘overbearing, too possessive, too clingy and insecure’…They might even have questioned her mental stability..

In a world where a woman wrote this on her Instagram page: “…and Bill Cosby is a cherished entertainer and educator who like most men with a little influence, money and power cheated on his wife…”
A wife like Camille Cosby is doomed anyway…

Florida Senator Marco Rubio’s Brother-In-Law Is A Convicted Drug Trafficker

    Grace Wyler
    Jul. 13, 2011, 3:17 PM

Florida Senator Marco Rubio, a rising star in the Republican party who is often mentioned as a potential vice presidential nominee, could find his political prospects tarnished by news that his sister and her husband were caught up in a South Florida drug trafficking raid in the 1980s.

An investigation by Univision found that Rubio’s brother-in-law, Orlando Cicilia, was arrested during a major antinarcotics operation in 1987. Rubio was a 16-year old high school student at the time.

According to public records, Cicilia was arrested after federal law enforcement seized the Miami home where he lived with Barbara Rubio, Senator Rubio’s sister. Barbara Rubio was not arrested or indicted. Cicilia was sentenced to 25 years in prison for conspiracy to distribute cocaine and marijuana.

The arrest was part of “Operation Cobra,” a federal crackdown on a Florida drug smuggling ring that killed a federal informer and chopped up his body, according to a NYT story published at the time. The story reports that the ring, led by Cuban American Mario Tabraue, paid $150,000 in bribes to the Key West police chief and Miami-Dade county officials, and used Miami police officers to collect, count, and disburse drug profits.

Cicilia was released in 2000 for good behavior. Univision reports that he currently lives in Senator Rubio’s mother’s home in southwest Miami and is listed as a co-owner of the house.

      Lyrics
He’s home again from another day
She smiles at him as he walks through the door
She wonders if it will be okay
It’s hard for her when he doesn’t respond

He says babe you look a mess
You look dowdy in that dress
It’s just not like it used to be
      Then she says…

I may not be a lady
      But I’m all woman
From monday to sunday I work harder than you know
      I’m no classy lady
      But I’m all woman
And this woman needs a little love to make her strong
      You’re not the only one

She stands there and lets the tears flow
Tears that she’s been holding back so long
She wonders where did all the loving go
The love they used to share when they were strong

She says yes I look a mess
But I don’t love you any less
I thought you always thought enough of me to always be impressed

I may not be a lady
      But I’m all woman
From monday to sunday I work harder than you know
      I’m no classy lady
      But I’m all woman
And this woman needs a little love to make her strong
      You’re not the only one

He holds her and hangs his head in shame
He doesn’t see her like he used to do
He’s too wrapped up in working for his pay
He hasn’t seen the pain he’s put her through

      Attention that he paid
      Just vanished in the haze
He remembers how it used to be
      When he used to say

      You’ll always be a lady
      ‘Cos you’re all woman
From monday to sunday I love you much more than you know
      You’re a classy lady
      ‘Cos you’re all woman
This woman needs a loving man to keep her warm

      You’re the only one
      You’re a classy lady
      ‘Cos you’re all woman

So sweet the love that used to be
So sweet the love that used to be

      We can be sweet again…

There is no way to know what she believes in and who or what she will represent. She will say one thing and do another when the pressure is on.

Are Trump Supporters Angry Enough to Vote?
    By Ed Kilgore Follow @ed_kilgore

When you consider that the rise and shockingly persistent presence of Donald Trump as a Republican presidential candidate was one of the two or three most important political news stories of 2015, it’s amazing how long it’s taking to get a firm grip on the kind of people who have lifted him to the top of so many polls. Polls that did not examine the educational levels of respondents managed to miss Trump’s special appeal to the non-college-educated (a.k.a. white working class), and led to persistent claims that he’s the candidate of “moderates.” Other polls have excluded significant numbers of Trump fans from their samples because those people have not regularly participated in Republican primaries and caucuses in the past. Putative Trump voters have been compared to the Wallace voters of the 1960s and 1970s and the Perot voters of 1992. A clear fix on them is elusive.

But today the New York Times’ estimable analyst Nate Cohn offers a new profile of Trump supporters based on data supplied by Civis Analytics, a Democratic firm that has conducted a large number of interviews with self-identified Republicans and Republican-leaners during the period of Trump’s ascendancy.

To understand what Cohn has found, however, you have to look past the headline I suspect editors imposed on him: “Donald Trump’s Strongest Supporter: A Certain Kind of Democrat.” In the second paragraph, Cohn does indeed report: “His very best voters are self-identified Republicans who nonetheless are registered as Democrats.” But you have to read far, far down into the piece to understand the limited meaning of that startling data point:
