Folks can’t help themselves. Their hatred supersedes any semblance of decency, when it comes to First Lady Michelle Obama.

It’s the illumination of several things..

The crap this black wife constantly has to put up with ..from both the left and the rightwingers..

The left – ever desperate to wield their shiny black man – and nearly always at his black wife’s expense, …will play up her husband even if it means she gets disrespected and demeaned in the process.. As long as they get to tout and laud their singular emblem of their own open-mindedness, high mindedness and ‘good judgement’..

And the rightwingers (and some so-called ‘progressive’ folks), will always, always root against her …they hate her more than they ever hated her elected politico husband.. Their greatest desire is for her to be humiliated ..not him, her..and hopefully, by her husband… They so root for him to hurt her.. They run around looking for anything that even remotely suggests that he prefers some other woman – preferably white – over his black wife.. And it thrills them to bits.. And they mock and taunt her .. And will even praise him.. That’s all you need to know..

It’s all part of that insidious and ongoing narrative about how he really, really loves him some white women…including the ones they dug up and repeatedly told us how he’d proposed twice to one when he was in his
early twenties.. And how his double Ivy League educated black wife was merely a ‘politically expedient’ choice.. As evidenced by how he always loses his mind everytime you dangle a white woman before him…especially at funerals.. And I’ve read all sorts of insulting stuff just from today, I can’t even share them here.. Including how he’s thrilled that the buffoon’s wife is following him on Twitter, but does not follow his black wife..who ironically, didn’t delete the @FLOTUS from her follows…and so is still following the account..

Beyond Starbucks: How Racism Shapes Customer Service
By Alexandra C. Feldberg and Tami Kim
    April 20, 2018

    SNIP
The manager at Starbucks called the police with the claim that the two men were “refusing to make a purchase.” The manager did not believe that they were customers.
Our research suggests that this belief — that a nonwhite person cannot or will not be a legitimate customer — can indeed worsen discrimination in service delivery. In a follow-up study, we emailed nearly 2,000 hotels and made a similar inquiry about local restaurants. But this time, in addition to varying the race of the inquirers, we varied whether they made clear their intention to stay at the hotel. Indeed, making customer status explicit helped reduce discrimination against minority people. These results are in line with the recent incident at Starbucks: We see that service workers do not apply the rule that every person is a potential customer deserving the same level of service.

  20. Uh oh….. but I have to travel on Rock Prairie Road today………….

“All major intersections along the route will be closed as the motorcade proceeds through College Station. The intersections that will be closed will begin at Highway 6 at Rock Prairie Road to Texas Avenue at George Bush Drive. Once the motorcade begins traveling on George Bush Drive, all major intersections will be blocked until the motorcade reaches Barbara Bush Drive”.

  24. Good morning, everyone!

My neighbor was on the way to meet up with her daughter to pick out a wedding dress and she was killed 6 minutes after she left the house. A teenager ran a stop sign and T-boned her SUV killing her. So incredibly sad. Prayers to the family. I made some spaghetti and garlic toast for the family to eat. Our community is so sad.

      Good morning, SG2 and Everyone,

Good Lord, that is so sad about your neighbor, SG2. It’s good there are neighbors like you to help the family through this. It doesn’t happen that way in my current neighborhood, people barely notice each other.

It’s good to hear that your son-in-law is doing good.

      Hang in there…

      • Liza, we country folks cook up food, take cakes, drinks, paper plates, napkins etc to families that have suffered a death in their family. My sis would bake home-made cakes. She’s sick now and can’t do that anymore but people could count on getting one of her delicious cakes.

      • Liza, we pull our cars to the side of the road whenever there is a funeral procession taking place. If folks are outside working, they stop until funeral procession passes through. Occasionally there may be some person who break the norms but folks frown 😡 on them. Respect the dead!

I really miss those traditions. When my father died, the house was full of neighbors and relatives and church people within a couple of hours after the news was out. Everyone brought something. I haven’t seen anything like that since leaving the South.
