Last week was a week of legal deals.
The beginning ‘ deal’ worked out by Michael Cohen, where he admitted, under oath, in open court, that he broke election law under the orders of the President of the United States. That’s important.
But, the word of the week was IMMUNITY.
Two people long in the universe of Dolt45, received IMMUNITY.
The first was, David Pecker, publisher of the National Enquirer.
In a wild story, it seems as if Pecker had all these secrets inside of a safe. We do know that he was involved in the payoff to the Playboy Model McDougal, and later in the week, the story from a doorman at Trump Tower. Just how many times did the National Enquirer pay off people for Donald Trump?
A couple of stories about Pecker and his practices at the National Enquirer:
Pecker’s past practice puts POTUS in a pickle, precludes Pulitzer
Rachel Maddow looks back at how David Pecker programmed the National Enquirer to promote Donald Trump and trash Hillary Clinton through the 2016 campaign, though he is now reportedly cooperating with investigators in the Cohen case and maybe more.National Enquirer stockpiled scandal stories, including Trump’s
Jeff Horwitz, reporter for the Associated Press, talks with Rachel Maddow about David Pecker’s practice at American Media Inc. of buying the rights to scandalous stories, including Donald Trump’s, and keeping them in a safe for use as bargaining leverage.
We don’t know how many times, but the Prosecutors know. Pecker flipped because doing what he did exposed the COMPANY to legal liability via the Prosecutor, and an indicted company, especially one trying to refinance it’s debt…well, the line of credit possibilities would dry up. So, it wasn’t too hard to see why he flipped. Pecker’s flipping also backs up the story that Michael Cohen told in open court. Pecker takes away from the convenient ‘ he said/ he said’, if it was just Cohen vs. Dolt45. But, it’s Cohen, Pecker, and probably Cohen AND Pecker’s TAPES vs. Dolt45.

But, the bombshell shoe that was dropped, was the revelation that Allen Weisselberg had been granted immunity.
Allen Weisselberg?
Who is that?
Only THE moneyman for the Trump Organization. Not only did he work for Dolt45, but also his racist Pappy. He’s been with the family THAT long.
You don’t grant immunity to someone like Allen Weisselberg for nothing. You grant immunity to him because you want bigger fish. You want someone to explain to you the financial questions that you have about the Trump Organization. You grant immunity to a man like Allen Weisselberg because you are FOLLOWING THE MONEY.
Donald Trump’s long-time money man given immunity in Cohen case
David Fahrenthold, political reporter for The Washington Post, talks about the revelation that Donald Trump’s long-time money man, Trump Org CFO Allen Weisselberg, was granted immunity by prosecutors in the Michael Cohen case
Weisselberg immunity likely means prosecutors seek ‘bigger fish’
Joyce Vance, former U.S. attorney, talks about the legal implications of Donald Trump’s right-hand-man in business being granted immunity by prosecutors in the Michael Cohen case, and the likelihood that prosecutors have their sights set on a “bigger fish” than Cohen.
Who would have thought that a Porn Star’s lawsuit could bring us to this point?
But, this is the truth. And, it wasn’t the sex with Stormy or McDougal that would get Dolt45 in trouble. His supporters don’t care about his lack of morals, because they showed their lack of character by voting for him. No. The point of these two women was always about FOLLOWING THE MONEY. The money got us Cohen, and Pecker and now Allen Weisselberg. The money is bringing the spotlight on the Trump Organization and Trump Foundation – two crooked organizations if there ever was one. The money is bringing the attention of all sorts of legal entities that aren’t named Robert Mueller, III, and for crimes that aren’t pardonable by a President.
It’s a tale as old as it gets:
The Money Never Lies.

Why Trump’s role in the FBI headquarters project matters
08/28/18 12:50 PM—UPDATED 08/28/18 02:08 PM
By Steve Benen
…………………….
In a press statement, the Virginia congressman said, “When we began this investigation, the prospect that President Trump was personally involved in the government-led redevelopment of a property in close proximity to the Trump Hotel was dismissed as a conspiracy theory. Now, the president’s involvement in this multi-billion-dollar government procurement which will directly impact his bottom line has been confirmed by the White House Press Secretary and government photographs.”
This might seem like a dry topic for a political debate – no one has ever used references to the General Services Administration as click-bait – but there may be a real story here.
For those unfamiliar with D.C., the Federal Bureau of Investigation is currently located along Pennsylvania Avenue, about four blocks east of the White House.
It’s also about a block from the Trump International Hotel, which the president still owns and profits from. If the current FBI headquarters were redeveloped in its existing space, it’d benefit Trump’s investment: many of the hotel’s rooms have a view of the bureau’s current home.
All of which makes it interesting that the White House was directly involved in the talks about plans for the building. In fact, the Washington Post reported that the GSA’s inspector general concluded that the agency’s officials “may have misled Congress about the White House’s role in canceling a decade-long search for a new FBI headquarters campus in the Washington suburbs last year.”
…………….
Murphy did not, however, mention the White House meetings as part of her answer.

@Elizabelle:
How the black middle class was attacked by Woodrow Wilson’s administration
February 8, 2016 4.51am EST Updated February 18, 2018 3.39pm EST
When Woodrow Wilson arrived in the nation’s capital in March 1913, he brought with him an administration loaded with white supremacists. Wilson’s lieutenants segregated offices, harassed black workers and removed black politicians from political appointments held by black men for more than a generation.
Racism had always been a part of life in Washington and its government buildings, but the U.S. civil service had never been formally segregated prior to Wilson’s inauguration.
……………………………………………
Wilson’s policies halted growth of black middle class in DC
Black men and women who worked in Washington, DC, at the turn of the 20th century were functional members of the national government doing the nation’s business. Their numbers grew steadily well into the new century, as I have detailed in my book, Racism in the Nation’s Service. In 1912, every dollar printed by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing bore the signature of James C. Napier, a black man who served as Register of the Treasury.
Black men also served as auditor of the Navy Department, U.S. Consul in Cognac, France, and Collector of the Port of New York. More than 400 African Americans, mostly men, worked as white-collar clerks in Washington, some in supervisory positions over white workers. The politically savvy, educated, and reasonably well-off black population in the capital represented the highest ideal of progress for African Americans.
The decent salaries of government clerks supported a full and dynamic life in a capital city with comparatively little racial discrimination. Washington was an island of possibility for ambitious black men and women at a time when racism cordoned them off from most of the economy and set ceilings on the jobs they could get.
Never free of racism or hardship, DC and its federal offices offered nonetheless a promising future for African Americans in a nation in which disfranchisement, peonage, violence, and terror were becoming the hallmarks of black life.
………………………
Reclaiming’ the capital for white supremacists
Yet, when the 1912 elections handed Democrats executive and legislative control over Washington, many administrators and congressmen arrived with a more specific goal of redeeming the capital for white supremacy.
“Long ago we determined that the Negro never should be our master,” explained one of Wilson’s administrators, Assistant Secretary of the Treasury John Skelton Williams. Williams vowed “stern, final, definite prohibition” of any “social or political equality.”
Wilson appointed white men to important executive positions usually held by leading black politicians, and racist bureaucrats went out of their way to humiliate, demote, and dismiss ordinary black clerks. (I describe the case of one such clerk here.)
It was the end of Washington’s heyday as the center of elite black America; the nation’s capital now stood for a nationwide ethic of white supremacy.
The changes that occurred under the Wilson Administration drew not just from a belief in black inferiority but also the presumption that “racial mixing” caused corruption in American institutions. African Americans needed to be kept down because they were troublesome to the proper functioning of American society.
Equality and efficiency for white Americans was predicated upon racial segregation.
