The Bonnie Raitt slander on here tonight is out of control. I love Beyoncé and Lizzo but just because y’all don’t know a legend doesn’t mean she doesn’t deserve a Grammy.

You can be the absolute best at your craft! You can create change and break records. You can exist at the top of the game for decades and they will still say…work harder. #grammys

Bonnie Raitt has been making sure old Blues musicians who were exploited get paid. There will be no Bonnie slander on the TL

I know y’all are not out here disrespecting Bonnie Raitt. She’s a legend.

The annual “I have limited taste in music so I am going to have a hissy fit about a renowned deserving artist getting an award over my favorite teeny bopper fixation” social media meltdown. The Grammys are not the Billboard or Teen Choice Awards people. Learn the difference

Bonnie Raitt out here looking easy, breezy, beautiful at 73 and Madonna looks like a freak show at 64.

Lmao the lady has been in the business for 50 years, has played with some of the best, has 15 grammys, and is in the Rock and Roll hall of fame. Before now no one has talked about her? 😂 sit down.

The one thing that is positive about the Grammys is it can expose artists and their work to a wider audience. Song of the Year is meant to be about the songwriting and the song that Bonnie Raitt wrote, by herself w/o the aid of 20 other people, is a beautiful poignant song

Bonnie was at Paisley Park with Prince to show him how to play slide guitar, since she’s one of the best, but he decided to just have her play on his song instead. Her guitar work is on Cream. Legends know legends.

Damn right. I love Bey, and she deserved her everything she won, but Bonnie Raitt has been doing this since before Bey was born. Also, she has always made it clear and lauded the black women who inspired her music.

People think SOTY is for the most popular song or song they heard on the radio the most. This isnt the AMAs or Billboard or People’s Choice awards–this is the Grammys. SOTY is a songwriter award it looks at lyrics and melody. That’s why Bonnie Raitt won.

Beyoncé attended to pick up the most treasured Grammy, not to add to her chest of 20+ R&B Grammys… they played her again. She should not attend for Renaissance: Act II if it is also highly acclaimed and nominated for AOTY. Period. She could’ve been practicing choreo or somethin.

Something else I noticed… we’ve seen/heard multiple gospel choirs tonight and yet, gospel has yet to have a proper tribute at the Grammys.

Gospel’s influence on modern music is arguably greater than any other genre’s influence.

Please stop with the “he had a big year” bullshit. I hate when NIGGAS play center like that. Bad Bunny literally had the longest running #1 of the entire year. A LATIN ALBUM ON AMERICAN CHARTS. 13 WEEKS. If there was any album beating Renaissance, it was UN VERANO SIN TI.

Every time Beyonce has been snubbed for AOTY the ⚪ women who hate her come out in droves. It’s always “I don’t get the hype” or “she’s overrated” but I think the truth is Beyonce is unapologetically Black af and that makes them uncomfortable
