Found this thread about why leftists/progressives make rotten teammates.
It’s because they never give this Administration their due. If it’s not 100% perfect, then it really didn’t happen and wasn’t accomplished.
Some sabotage of President Biden and his Administration doesn’t only come from the right:
From Dan Cluchey (@dancluchey):
The most frustrating part about Adam McKay & others who flood lefty social circles with lies about Biden’s economic record is that they’re a big part of the reason Donald Trump still has any semblance of a political future. But here’s the *second* most frustrating part. (1/9)
I worked in the White House when most of the core of Bidenomics was being conceived or implemented, & sat in 100s of meetings. I can’t think of a single thing I heard — from Biden, economists, or anyone — that would’ve caused lefties to say anything other than “hell yeah!” (2/9)
From POTUS down the line, the entire aim of the recovery was to center low- & middle-income workers. That was rhetorically true in every conversation about the agenda, & reflected in the details of each policy. Biden’s whole purpose, publicly & privately, was to make this (3/9)
.. the first recovery in U.S. history to disproportionately benefit the working class. He insisted on it at every turn. The econ team did incredible work to make that aim the heart of the plan. Leg affairs & others worked tirelessly to shepherd it through a tight Congress. (4/9)
It was intentionally & aggressively designed to be the most progressive economic agenda in modern history — a recovery that would empower unions, reach full employment, raise real wages *most* for the least well-off, redirect us toward a green economy, & close racial gaps. (5/9)
Against all odds, a huge portion of this ambitious plan made it through Congress. And then: it worked! We very quickly went from the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression to the biggest jobs boom in history! Real wages rose, & rose highest for the lowest earners! (6/9)
The gap between rich & poor got smaller! The racial wealth gap closed by 60%! The U.S. economy grew much faster & saw the least inflation of any major economy on Earth! Unemployment hit all-time lows, even as the stock market hit all-time highs! To say nothing of… (7/9)
… record climate investments, a slew of major union victories, & too many other progressive wins to count. None of it was an accident, & none of it was easy. Principled, determined people busted their asses to make it happen — they lost some fights, but won a lot more. (8/9)
So for clowns like Adam McKay — who can’t be bothered to acknowledge the reality, because they think a virtuous ideology gives them license to skip that part — to do nothing at this pivotal moment but spread misinformation & gloom… well, it just fucking sucks. That’s all. (9/9)
They completely dismiss all the accomplishments of the Biden/Harris Administration, because they don’t see 100% of the objectives THEY deem are important.
GTFOH
I will not see the work of the Biden/Harris Administration diminished, because you are too narrow minded to acknowledge it.
And, THIS!

Biden is literally the most underrated American politician in US history and it’s not close.

Removing medical debt from consumer credit reports might not be a front-page story, but it’s another example — the latest in a series of examples — of the Biden administration taking meaningful steps to help consumers. https://t.co/W21viu3Aya

The complete gall:
Dinner donations are causing controversy in the Queen City. Vermont Freelance Reporter Mike Donoghue reports that a special food drive was started to provide free meals to Burlington’s mayor and her wife to reduce the stress of being public servants.
Mayor Emma Mulvaney-Stanak’s wife is the city’s water director. Combined, Donoghue reports the couple makes $250,000 a year.
People were encouraged to sign up to provide the free dinners through MealTrain.com, which is typically reserved for people experiencing hardship.

This is Howard’s wife, Amy Nathan. I am heartbroken to share my brilliant and extraordinary husband passed away late last night surrounded by those he loved most, his family. He valiantly battled pancreatic cancer for 2 years. He couldn’t have been adored more. The world was a better place because he lived in it and wrote about it.

Wow! All precincts in Ohio’s 6th district have reported. Michael Rulli (R) wins by only 8.6% in a district that Trump carried by almost 30% in 2020. There was a 20% swing left from 2020. I can’t wait to hear how Nate Silver and the NYT will tell us this is bad for Joe Biden and Democrats.

Republicans Claim Harassing Abortion Patients is ‘Free Speech’

Anti-Abortion Language Watch
Let’s talk about ‘fear-mongering.’ We’ve been hearing that word a lot lately from anti-abortion lawmakers and activists, eager to play down just how bad the post-Roe nightmare really is.
At last week’s Senate committee hearing, Republican Sen. Bill Cassidy chastised doctors and Democrats for “fear-mongering” about the consequences of abortion bans. (Here was my response.) Sens. Katie Britt and Ted Cruz used the same term in a Wall Street Journal op-ed after introducing legislation they claimed would protect IVF. (It wouldn’t.) Their pair wrote that national outrage over the Alabama Supreme Court decision was based on “misconceptions and fear-mongering.”
And anti-abortion lobbyists at Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America have been hammering on ‘fear-mongering’ for months. In April, group president Marjorie Dannenfelser said Democrats “will spend millions to fear-monger and lie.” This week, state public affairs director for the organization, Kelsey Pritchard, told the Catholic Courier that ‘pro-life’ activists have to respond to “fear-mongering” about the danger of abortion bans by pointing out that “there is a life of the mother exception in every single state.”
Fun fact: What Pritchard doesn’t mention is that it wasn’t so long ago that Tennessee didn’t have an exception for women’s lives, and that her group spent months lobbying legislators to keep it that way. So maybe, just maybe, we’re afraid for good reason.
And that’s the thing: Something can’t be ‘fear-mongering’ if you’re right to be scared. What’s that saying? It’s not paranoia if they’re really out to get you! We need to hammer that truth home again and again. All anti-abortion groups and lawmakers have right now is rhetoric; we have reality.
Good Morning, Everyone😊😊😊
