Why Recall Scott Walker?
 by BooMan

When he was running for the office, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker made a promise to create 250,000 private sector jobs and 10,000 new businesses in his state by the end of his first term. He is not making good progress. So far, under his leadership, Wisconsin has added only 5,900 private sector jobs

Walker in Wisconsin:  Divide and Conquer  By

Steve Benen

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports on the context of the newly-released video, recorded by a filmmaker who has supported Wisconsin Democrats.

A filmmaker released a video Thursday that shows Gov. Scott Walker saying he would use “divide and conquer” as a strategy against unions. Walker made the comments to Beloit billionaire Diane Hendricks, who has since given $510,000 to the governor’s campaign. […]

In the video shot on Jan. 18, 2011 — shortly before Walker’s controversial budget-repair bill was introduced and spawned mass protests — Hendricks asked the governor whether he could make Wisconsin a “completely red state, and work on these unions, and become a right-to-work.” The Republican donor was referring to right-to-work laws, which prohibit private-sector unions from compelling workers to pay union dues if the workers choose not to belong to the union.

Walker replied that his “first step” would be “to divide and conquer” through his budget-adjustment bill, which curtailed most collective bargaining for public employee unions.

And keep your eyes on New Jersey Governor Chris Christie too!

Jersey Now has raised $624K to push Gov. Christie’s agenda

TRENTON — A group tied to Gov. Chris Christie’s top advisers raised $624,000 to push the governor’s agenda this year.
“As a small businessman and a long-time local councilman, I am proud of the role we have played in advocating for a property tax cap, civil service reform, arbitration reform and pension and benefit reforms,” said Chuck Shotmeyer, president of Reform Jersey Now and a former councilman from Franklin Lakes. “Serving in local office, I know we will never stop escalating property taxes without changing the status quo.

Reform Jersey Now, which launched in June, can legally raise an endless amount of money from anyone, unrestricted by the campaign contribution and pay-to-play limits campaigns face that limit the amount of money that can be donated by those who get state contracts.

Reform Jersey Now contributions are not affected by the pay-to-play statutes or by applicable executive orders,” said a July fundraising solicitation from the group. Pay-to-play rules limit the amount of money that can be donated by those who get state contracts.

You see the GOP governors are not playing when it comes to shitting on Americans, with their PAY to PLAY strategy.
