July 17, 2014 homicide of Eric Garner by NYPD

Medical Examiner rules Eric Garner’s death a HOMICIDE.

The city medical examiner has ruled the death of Eric Garner, the 43-year-old father whose death in police custody sparked national outrage, a homicide, saying a chokehold killed him.

The medical examiner said compression of the neck and chest, along with his positioning on the ground while being restrained by police, caused his death.

Garner’s acute and chronic bronchial asthma, obesity and hypertensive cardiovascular disease were contributing factors, the medical examiner determined.

I suppose anyone watching that video of NYPD choking Eric Garner needed the medical examiner’s EXPERT report to confirm what our EYES & EARS SAW AND HEARD.

Now what becomes of the NYPD cops who committed Eric Garner’s HOMICIDE?

Al Sharpton plans march as Eric Garner’s family speaks on chokehold victim

The Rev. Al Sharpton will lead a protest march across the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge in New York City later this month in response to a medical examiner’s ruling that Eric Garner was the victim of a homicide after police placed him in a chokehold last month.

Flanked by Garner’s relatives, Sharpton made the announcement during a weekly meeting of the National Action Network on Saturday.

“Now it’s time. Since the ME has made his determination, now is the time for the rubber to meet the road, and somebody to show, where we go,” he said.

    They murdered this man.

    Period.

This needs to be a federal civil rights case.

I was thinking how sad it is that a man’s life ended this way. He had a family, people who loved him and cared about him and needed him.

These effing cops need to learn that it’s the 21st effing century. They need to keep their cop dicks under control and stop swinging them. They need to learn to do the job they were hired to do and when they break the law, like they do here by murdering a person, they need to be charged, tried, and sent to prison.

This really pisses me off. It just keeps happening over and over. And it will until one of these murdering cops hears a cell door slam behind him. These bad cops think they can kill with impunity.

I wonder if there is a count anywhere of how many cops have murdered black men and gotten away with it. Now we have videos. It didn’t help Oscar Grant, but maybe the cops who perpetrated this senseless murder will not do so well. And, if the state fails, there’s still DOJ where violation of this man’s civil rights really should be a slam dunk. But it’s almost impossible to put a murdering cop behind bars, and God knows there are plenty who should have been tried and convicted.
