“2018 Women’s March Sends Power to the Polls”

There were signs being carried that said “Today we women march; tomorrow we run for office.”

I was on the fence about the Dems holding out because of DACA. Chris Hayes did a tweet saying that the GOP wants to deport all the Dreamers, but won’t come out and admit it. I realize that he is.absolutely correct. And, those stories that we post, here and there.. doing it to DACA would put it Front and Center for many Americans who don’t read those stores like we do. They want the Dems to do the dirty work for them. To that I SAY HELL NO 😠
We will not abandon these young people.

I’m stealing something from one of Dave Chappelle’s skits to describe GOPers’ current predicament: “When keeping it real goes wrong.” GOPers didn’t see anything wrong with changing the Senate rules to confirm Gorsuch, and they didn’t see anything wrong with leaving Democrats out of the negotiations for their fake tax cut bill, but now, they want Democrats to help them pass the CR to keep the government open? They are our of their freaking minds. Turnabout is fair play. They can dish it out but can’t take it. They deserve everything they’re getting, in spades. A Reuters article’s headline goes straight for the jugular: “Trump’s dealmaker image tarnished by U.S. government shutdown.”
Once again, Trump’s big fat mouth has his looking like a fool. He can make claims, but he can’t fulfill them. He went after PBO for the 2013 shutdown, claimed it was PBO’s fault, finds himself in a similar situation, but with a unique difference—the shutdown in his administration occurred one year from the date of the inauguration of his first term in office!

Tom Petty died of accidental drug overdose, medical examiner says
    By Ralph Ellis, CNN
Updated 9:38 PM ET, Fri January 19, 2018

Musician Tom Petty died of an accidental drug overdose of several medications, a statement from his family, posted on, and a news release from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner said Friday.

The family statement, which also was posted on Facebook, said Petty, 66, had suffered several ailments before his October 3 death.

“Despite this painful injury he insisted on keeping his commitment to his fans and he toured for 53 dates with a fractured hip and, as he did, it worsened to a more serious injury.
“On the day he died he was informed his hip had graduated to a full-on break and it is our feeling that the pain was simply unbearable and was the cause for his over use of medication,” according to the statement from Dana Petty, his wife, and Adria Petty, his daughter.

The medical examiner’s news release said the autopsy found these drugs in Petty’s system: fentanyl, oxycodone, acetyl fentanyl and despropionyl fentanyl, which are opioids; temazepam and alprazolam, which are sedatives; and citalopram, an antidepressant.

In spending fight, Republicans embrace Trump’s hard-line stand on immigration

The GOP’s strategy of targeting illegal immigration marks the latest chapter in the party’s decades-long realignment years after President George W. Bush’s outreach to Latinos.

While the Senate has not yet taken an immigration vote, McConnell delivered red meat for the conservative base on immigration. He lambasted Democrats for withholding support for a month-long government spending bill because talks had yet to produce a deal to protect those immigrants, known as “dreamers.”
McConnell repeated the term “illegal immigration” several times in his floor remarks — punctuating the words for emphasis. It was unusual for the leader to use that phrase for young undocumented immigrants. Several times when McConnell said “illegal immigration” Thursday night, Flake, seated a few rows behind him, visibly grimaced.
In recent public comments, McConnell also has used the term “chain migration” to refer to the practice of U.S. citizens sponsoring extended family members for green cards. Many Democrats say it should be dropped because they consider it a derogatory term to describe legal, family-based immigration.

Democrats are holding our Military hostage over their desire to have unchecked illegal immigration. Can’t let that happen!

For those asking, the Republicans only have 51 votes in the Senate, and they need 60. That is why we need to win more Republicans in 2018 Election! We can then be even tougher on Crime (and Border), and even better to our Military & Veterans!

This is the One Year Anniversary of my Presidency and the Democrats wanted to give me a nice present. #DemocratShutdown

Democrats are far more concerned with Illegal Immigrants than they are with our great Military or Safety at our dangerous Southern Border. They could have easily made a deal but decided to play Shutdown politics instead. #WeNeedMoreRepublicansIn18 in order to power through mess!

Not looking good for our great Military or Safety & Security on the very dangerous Southern Border. Dems want a Shutdown in order to help diminish the great success of the Tax Cuts, and what they are doing for our booming economy.

      1. The Republicans don’t want black & brown immigrants in America
      2. The Republicans don’t want DACA
      3. The Republicans don’t want CHIPS
      4. The Republicans don’t want government healthcare for Americans, yet they receive it
