This is consistent with my tweet earlier today and should be required reading. It is time for the Dems to be led by street fighters that are willing to engage and fight like hell. Otherwise, Trump will make 2016 look like a warm-up lap. #FightClub #Basta

Kentucky’s first-in-the-nation requirement that Medicaid recipients must work is blocked
A federal judge ruled that the Trump administration acted in an “arbitrary and capricious” manner when federal officials approved Kentucky’s first-in-the-nation requirement that low-income people work or otherwise engage in their communities to qualify for the safety-net health insurance.

The decision by U.S. District Judge James E. Boasberg vacates that approval and sends the state’s proposal back to the Department of Health and Human Services for further review.

His action stems from a lawsuit filed in January by three organizations opposed to the profound changes in the insurance program for the poor. Since then, the administration has granted three more states permission to impose similar requirements.

“Based on reporting from multiple sources, the FBI believes that Yanukovych’s government engages in systemic public corruption,” one search warrant affidavit reads.

On loan applications over a three-month period in 2016, Manafort variously represented his net worth as $15 million, $17 million, $21 million and $36 million, according to the court documents.

“He is so in debt,” an unidentified person wrote in an email regarding a $3.5 million loan to Manafort from a real estate company on Sept. 27, 2016, the documents state.

In February 2016, Manafort secured $9 million in loans from Genesis Capital, one he personally guaranteed and another backed by a property in Los Angeles. Genesis moved to foreclose on the Brooklyn house in September 2016 after both sets of loans went into default.

At one point that month, according to the court documents, Manafort was being assessed over $2,000 a day in interest after missing two months of payments on one of the loans.

How does a white man get away with incurring this kind of debt?

I remember the Maddow segment on his loan applications. It was just amazing to listen to, cause I knew that NO Black person could apply for a loan for a toaster, and all their paperwork not be in perfect condition. That segment was a lesson in

Viral video: Police called on 12-year-old mowing grass which ends up getting him more business

A boy in Maple Heights is running his own business this summer cutting lawns and cleaning up yards.

Reginald Fields, 12, is the owner of Mr. Reggie’s Lawn Cutting Service. With several helping hands from his cousins, brothers and sisters, they are up with the sun every day working the neighborhood.

That’s what they were doing when someone called Maple Heights police on them.

“They said I was cutting their grass. I didn’t know it!” Reggie said.

His customer, Lucille Holt, said she was confused when she saw police, but quickly learned the neighbors called to complain that the group cut a section of their property (about a foot where the two properties butt together) and were in their yard.

“They said the kids cut their grass,” Holt explained.

Reggie Fields said the police said nothing to him and the kids. He finished the job and felt a little discouraged.

    “I was like, that’s a shame. I didn’t know,” Reggie said.

    But that didn’t last long.

Lucille Holt created a Facebook post about what happened and ended up with thousands of views and hundreds of shares.

Now, Mr. Reggie is getting a lot of support for his new business from people who see the video and want to make sure he’s never discouraged again.

“People are inboxing me like, ‘how can I get in touch with this children? Where are they at? I got property I want these kids to cut,'” Holt said.

Reggie, his siblings and his cousins are getting calls from all over the city now.

Reggie said he’s trying to save the money he earns to buy new equipment and grow his business.

“Just give me a call. I will be there. On time!” He said.

I watched “The Secret Life of Dogs” on PBS last night. Really an interesting program.

One type of dog they talked about is the African wild dog which I have never heard about. They are currently endangered. They are known for travelling in huge packs (30-40), running at 35 mph, and being very effective hunters (success rate is 8 out of 10).

Look at this picture at the link. They are so unusual but gorgeous. I can’t believe I’ve never seen them before.

Scott Pruitt Personally Involved in ‘Ratf*cking’ Ex-Aides Who He Feels Betrayed Him

    Pruitt Sought Revenge on Ex-Aides
    June 29, 2018 at 8:54 am EDT

On May 18, a top aide to EPA chief Scott Pruitt testified to a congressional committee that she had been tasked with procuring her boss a used mattress from the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C. Just days after news of that testimony broke, the aide, Pruitt’s now former director of scheduling Millan Hupp, submitted her resignation.

But even though Hupp was gone from the agency, Pruitt wasn’t done with her.

According to three sources familiar with the conversations, Pruitt was livid over Hupp’s testimony, which he felt had been particularly humiliating. And he personally reached out to allies in the conservative movement, including some at the influential legal group the Federalist Society, to insist that she had lied about, or at least misunderstood, the request for a used Trump mattress. He also stressed that Hupp could not be trusted—the implication being that she should not be hired at their institutions.
