Thursday Open Thread | This Administration’s Disgusting Reaction to the Murder of Jamal Khashoggi

Saudi born journalist Jamal Khashoggi was torture and murdered by the Saudi Government. They couldn’t just murder the man with a gun, fast and quick. They had to be ‘imaginative’.
Imaginatively torturing and murdering the man using a team of professionals.

What has been almost as disgusting as the tale of Mr. Khashoggi’s death, is the reaction of this Administration.

But, what can you expect from people who are bought and paid for stooges of the Saudi Government.

The latest from the NYTimes:

Audio Offers Gruesome Details of Jamal Khashoggi Killing, Turkish Official Says
By David D. Kirkpatrick and Carlotta Gall
Oct. 17, 2018

ISTANBUL — Saudi agents were waiting when Jamal Khashoggi walked into their country’s consulate in Istanbul two weeks ago. Mr. Khashoggi was dead within minutes, beheaded, dismembered, his fingers severed, and within two hours the killers were gone, according to details from audio recordings described by a senior Turkish official on Wednesday.

The government of Turkey let out these and other leaks about the recordings on Wednesday, as Secretary of State Mike Pompeo visited Ankara, in an escalation of pressure on both Saudi Arabia and the United States for answers about Mr. Khashoggi, a prominent Saudi dissident journalist who lived in Virginia and wrote for The Washington Post.

The new leaks, which were also splashed in lurid detail across a pro-government newspaper, came a day after Mr. Pompeo and the Trump administration had appeared to accept at face value the promises of the Saudi rulers to conduct their own investigation into Mr. Khashoggi’s disappearance — regardless of Turkish assertions that senior figures in the royal court had ordered his killing.

As the Saudis and the Americans tried to put the crisis behind them, the brutality described in the leaks served as a reminder of why Mr. Khashoggi’s disappearance has triggered an international backlash more severe than countless mass killings or rights violations.

As the Saudis and the Americans tried to put the crisis behind them

DA PHUQ?
REALLY?
SERIOUSLY?

As if anyone, other than the deplorables, would believe anything that this administration had to say.
It’s been infuriating, watching these clowns try to downplay what happened to Mr. Khashoggi. And, thinking that the rest of the world is as stupid as Dolt45’s followers.

They really thought that folks were just going to buy whatever lie they threw out there.
They lie about EVERYTHING, but, we are supposed to have faith in their official position?

Phuck outta here.

When I say that they are bought and paid for stooges of the Saudis, I don’t mean that figuratively.

You won’t find any of the GOP chest thumpers saying SHYT, of course.

If this had happened during 44’s term? They’d be on tv 24/7 talking about how strong the American President needed to be.
Another point of why we need to have Democratic control of Congress.

The words of Mr. Khashoggi speak for themselves.

When an unscrupulous, cash-poor, treasonous buffoon and his weaselly, also strapped for cash son in law, are dubiously propelled into power by a hostile foreign actor, and now illegitimately control the previously greatest country and Democracy in the world … and trade dubious favors, sell intelligence and state secrets in exchange for bribes, personal loans and bailout funds for failing, over leveraged family businesses .. Despots of every stripe not only now have them by the you know what, but control them and their every action – including that supposedly done in the name of Americans..

We are now officially a banana republic …kowtowing to despots solely for the personal financial benefit of a conman illegitimately squatting in the People’s House, but hiding behind the so-called largess that is blood money in arm sales to boost the nation’s coffers …which will immediately be squandered anyway, in support of more tax cuts for the wealthiest, and on daily Airforce One vanity junkets for ego-boosting rallies, and weekly golf trips to family businesses …All while the sorry soulless Johns – Kelly and Bolton – fight to mark their territory around the soulless prey – and solidify their unpatriotic spots as most valued Svengali to a treasonous moron and useful idiot to America’s enemies ..who’s in it just for self, unearned and undeserved power and money..

And those hostile foreign entities know well their handpicked, seriously compromised, useful idiots …and have them cornered ..

Make one false step… and they’ll torpedo the family business cart.. and the make-believe ‘presidency’ they enabled and helped propel them to..

MbS has already sent out warning shots courtesy of their we got the ‘green-light’ from the treasonous buffoon..

    Warning: We will implicate you..

Make any moves to officially distance themselves from MbS, and he’s taking Jared and daddy in law down with him..

    Hence the ever-changing mealy-mouthing and tap-dancing by America’s own homespun treasonous co-conspirators..

P.S: America, besides treasonous buffoons sponsored by foreign hostile entities, add ‘businessman’ and obvious personal conflicts to the list of who not to ever let take control of our nuclear codes and the People’s House..
