This photo sends chills up my spine. I read a book a few years ago by Eugene Sledge called “With the Old Breed.” Sledge was a Marine who fought at Peleliu and Okinawa in the Pacific War. They made a beach landing at Peleliu and Sledge, who I think was in his 50s when he wrote the book, said that absolutely nothing in his life before or since compared to the moment he was waiting to exit the landing craft. I can’t imagine, I can’t even imagine.

  2. None of this slow dragging would be happening if the criminals were Black. They would have BEEN in prison already.

  4. Unconstitutional. Itโ€™s as horrendous as putting women in prison for having an abortion or imprisoning the doctor for doing it. And who will suffer most from this barbaric act? Innocent Blacks and POC. Iโ€™m not down for this whatsoever. White supremacy is always scheming. This is another way to hurt Blacks and POC with population control.

Just got finished watching Rocket Man. I am stunned. It wasn’t what I thought it would be. It was outstanding ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

It’s a miracle that Elton John is still alive. He lived ALL of that. Taron Egerton was amazing.

I want to see it again.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Letโ€™s Get Real About Identity Politics

The 2020 race is heating up, at least on the left, and Iโ€™m already annoyed by much of the same lazy and disingenuous commentary that annoyed the hell out of me in 2016. I realize this means the next 18 months are going to be challenging (already planning to deploy ample amounts of selfcare until the election is safely behind us), but getting something straight right now should assist with the management of what is likely to be an overflowing pool of my highly combustible frustration.

Identity politics, at least as we have come to understand the term, is complete and utter bad faith bullshit.
