      This is so sad. There are so many stories like this. I personally do not yet know anyone who has had the virus, at least not yet. And I pray that I don’t get it myself.

      As with all major calamities, there may be opportunities for positive changes. Certainly at the individual level we can make some good of this.

      I keep thinking about the rest of the world. How do they see us now? The mighty superpower that bombs nations into the stone age, the mighty superpower that does not take care of it’s own people. Now they know.

      I guess we’ll see what happens.

      Just before the coronavirus started to spread, Trump was boasting that he created “the greatest economy in the world.” And that’s what he intended to use to get re-elected.

      But it wasn’t such a great economy after all. Not when half of American workers live paycheck to paycheck and go broke when they lose their jobs. Now they’re all lining up at food banks, going into debt, and losing their health insurance if they had any.

      But Trump was going to call it the greatest economy in the world and now all he’s got is an economy in shambles. He thinks if everyone goes back to work his great economy will be saved and he’ll be re-elected.

      This virus is with us until there is a vaccine and everyone is vaccinated.
