Even without trying, the Obamas are too popular, too effective, have too much reach, too much influence, and too much cool..
And folks canât stand it..
The same folk who demand that they âgo awayâ, âdisappearâ ..the ones whoâve âcanceledâ and âunfollowedâ them … but wonât stop stalking and obsessing about them.. the very same folk who then in unison, when push comes to shove, turn around finger-wagging, yelling and demanding that the Obamas âdo or say something..â ..same folks that periodically splice photographs and videos of their faves with one or both of the Obamas.. and âamplifyâ said spliced photos/videos, just to boost their faves.. even while also insidiously plotting and desperately trying to supplant the Obamas.. and mad that try as they may, they canât..
Folk from all sides, taking shots at the Obamas and desperately trying to take them out ..or at the very least, looking to take the shine off them, to curb their popularity, influence …and these folks have been trying to do so for a very, very long time..
Never-mind the bogus insistence from the haters, and from those who now resent them because they couldnât usurp their popularity or hijack them entirely for the purposes of boosting their faves.. folks who claim to hate them ânowâ because theyâve âchangedâ.. most of these folks have been condescending to the Obamas for years, and have been trying to put them in âtheir placeâ ever since they showed up, and once these folks saw that they were formidable..as individuals, and as a couple.. And when his unpretentious, phenomenal, fully-black wife refused to be coopted for their political purposes.. refused to kiss the brass rings of the many self-styled annointers/kingmakers.. refused to prioritize them over her family, or long-overlooked black kids in D.Câs neighborhoods.. refused to become BFFs or have tea with them or invite them over for parties or dinners or lunches.. refused to give them tours of their White House bedroom.. they all lost it.. and theyâve all been and stayed mad for the loooooonngest time..
They resent the Obamas for easily outshining them all ..they utterly resent needing the Obamas.. to bolster them, to buoy their faves ..to vouch for and to validate them and their faves, their campaigns, their agenda.. They resent the Obamas for their faves not having what the Obamas naturally and effortlessly possess in spades.. That magic, that touch.. the âitâ factor.. and all while still being naturally and effortlessly relatable …and able to reach hearts, and change minds..
The Obamas genuinely rock … organically.. no paid influencers, astroturfed âcrowdsâ, no hive, no squad, no artificial âenthusiasmâ or fake rah-rahs.. no embellished tales or cheerleaders, necessary.. No need for fake rallying cries.. no woe is me victimhood – even as theyâve so gracefully and dignifiedly withstood the unimaginable..
They Obamas have set new standards, scaled new heights, that everyoneâs trying to scale, mimic, rip off …while also pretending itâs no biggie, or worse, insisting that the Obamas have âdone nothingâ..mocking those things they possess that they are all trying to co-opt, copy, replicate without any of the successes that the Obamas have… they all crave the celebrities the Obamas easily draw.. they crave the book deals, Netflix deals, Spotify deals.. the Oscar, Emmy, Grammy wins.. the #1 best-selling books, magazine covers that sell out, sold out arena-size crowds that show up for the Obamas, globally..
But theyâll sniff, tsk-tsk, strongly pooh-pooh all of it and pretend that itâs all just such âbad formâ, âbad opticsâ.. even as they demand the same for their faves.. and until of course, they and their faves can get some of what the Obamas have.. theyâll attack the Obamas for âsurrounding themselves with celebritiesâ and resent how celebrities genuinely love, respect, gravitate towards the Obamas ..and want to hang out with the Obamas.. They resent that they arenât getting the same A-list celebrities the Obamas have swarming to them.. but then name-drop, hype up & go wild over being in proximity to or nabbing some random z-lister for something..
The poisonous darts including from supposed âalliesâ, have been coming at the Obamas for a very long time now, and from every direction.. the right-wingers/GOPers – trumpers and never-trumpers, libertarians.. the various factions of the Democratic Party looking to take the Obamas down to prop up their person.. the Biden folk, the Clinton folk, the Carter folk, the Pelosi folk.. the Bernie folk.. along with the massa-serving black opportunists evenly split among, and now thirstily hopping from bandwagon to bandwagon ..depending on which way the wind blows …between the Clintons, Bernie, and recently Biden, since the temporary âpowerâ shift.. the endlessly green-eyed, opportunistic black a-holes.. the smarmy Jaime Harrison, fork-tongued Donna Brazile, shameless Eric Dyson, petty Cornell West, etc..
Theyâve all been trying their darnedest to turn voters, especially âthe blacksâ, against the Obamas.. the various factions each think that if they can smear, tarnish and diminish the Obamas enough, and if the Obamas are no longer âbelovedâ and canât help rally folks, then THEY get to come in and hijack, and use and move voters in whatever direction..
LOL.. Itâll be curious to see how they pull off future election campaigns without the Obamas.. once the various Dem factions are done âtaking outâ the Obamas… and stabbing each other in the backs while at it, to try gain the âupper handâ..
Itâs all just been one loooooonng backstabbing Orwellian sh*tshow for far too long..
And donât even get me started on those hangers-on that have always boasted about how they âmadeâ the historic President ..the ones who, no matter how fleeting and peripheral their association, have all made off like bandits – multiple book deals, speaking gigs, other gigs, top executives on boards, access to spaces theyâd otherwise never have opened to them.. endlessly trading on their association with the Obamas.. in fact, brazenly taking credit and claiming that they were âkeyâ … those former staffers and campaign supporters who now 14+years later, feel completely entitled to, and demand that they be invited to the Obamas private parties.. and throw tantrums when they arenât.. or are disinvited because they leaked details of the private party, and really arenât actually that close to the Obamas.. who initially only felt sort of obligated to include said hangers-on..
Hangers-on that very tellingly, then showed their sorry b*tts, by running to tell-all to a bloody racist malevolent gossip-monger who for years, has attacked and denigrated the Obamas.. Imagine claiming to be âcloseâ to the Obamas, and running to b*tch to f*cking Maureen Dowd about them..
Hopefully, the Obamas do a permanent freeze-out of these hangers-on… because as weâve often mentioned here over the years, itâs been long overdue..
And, please, someone shut f*cking AndrĂ© Leon Talley the f*ck up.. Maureen Dowd wrote that The Carters were âmost hurtâ, that Mrs Obama had not invited Mrs Carter to a luncheon she hosted for First Ladies to discuss Mrs Obamaâs Mental Health Project..

Mrs Obama NEVER hosted a luncheon for First Ladies.. and Mrs Obama didnât host any luncheons to discuss a Mental Health Project.. which was actually not one of her focus initiatives…
We all know that Mrs Obamaâs core initiatives as First Lady were: Letâs Move (Health/Well-being); Reach Higher (Education/Student Mentorship – with an emphasis on kids in underserved communities & helping1st-gen kids get into and graduate college/some form of higher Ed.); Joining Forces (supporting Military/Veteran Families beyond lip-service/parades, but in tangible, substantive ways); Let Girls Learn (Global education effort, brilliantly designed to work with the Peace Corps/local organizations familiar with cultures/obstacles, crafting solutions area-specific, to avoid one-size fits all missteps.)
Very importantly, Mrs Obama actually hosted Mrs Carter several times at the White House – including at 2 events where Mrs Carter actually spoke/gave a speech.. Mrs Obama was incredibly gracious and kind to Mrs Carter, and there are photographs and videos that clearly document this..
That Maureen Dowd continues with her hit-pieces, is not surprising, but if I were the Obamas, Iâd really be extremely wary of these âfriendsâ, âalliesâ, self-styled âbrothersâ, who moonlight as Maureen Dowd buddies, grant her unfettered access to feed her hit-pieces.. and keep showing up in these hit-pieces that have spanned years.. and continue, even post White House..
