A graduation at an HBCU hits different. For many students, they are first generation college graduates, and the FAMILY is there. For others, the HBCU is a tradition in their family, and the FAMILY is there. The air is full with Big Mama’s and PawPaws in their Sunday best, so happy to see this day.
To say that foolishness will not be tolerated…it’s an understatement.
I have written here and there about the protests going on around the country. Mainly because I remember being in college, and there was always the group protesting something.
But, like with BLM, these folks have lost the narrative of what they are supposed to be about. And, there are insincere actors around them. But, the youth doesn’t seem to want to hear what us Old Heads see from a distance.
Found an interesting discussion about it, and it was as I suspected, but, it was good to get confirmation.

Payne suffered a heart attack on April 6 and had been unconscious and on a ventilator since then at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. He battled a series of health issues in recent years, including diabetes, high blood pressure, and kidney issues that required regular dialysis.
He is unopposed in the Democratic primary.
