Trump argues that birthright citizenship was only for “babies of slaves.”

Except, the Supreme Court ruled in 1898 that it applies to everyone born here.

That particular case, United States v. Wong Kim Ark, was about a Chinese immigrant’s son. Not a freed slave.

    In short, he lied. AGAIN.

Former Customs and Border Patrol “commander at large” Greg Bovino has had all of his official government social media accounts shut down after he refused to turn them over to the federal government, according to a new report.

    snip

The outlet spoke to five people familiar with the conflict between Bovino and the federal government over the social media account.

One source told the Examiner that Border Patrol Commissioner Rodney Scott “gave Bovino a direct order to return the pages/accounts names to reflect El Centro Sector and that new accounts would be created.”

Bovino was reportedly upset because he believed he had grown the account and that the followers were there for him, not for the El Centro Sector. He wanted to keep his social media follower count high.

“Bovino refused, arguing that the followers were his. He said he earned the followers and that his followers expected him to post from new cities,” the source said. “It was all about Greg Bovino getting attention and nothing else.”

Kim Georgeton for Lt. Governor of Ohio

    @KimGeorgeton

Ohio is quietly surrendering its water to AI. Not tomorrow. Right now. Central Ohio alone has 65+ new data centers planned. Each one can guzzle up to 5 million gallons per day just to cool the servers. Google’s New Albany facility? Already sucking down 348,000 gallons daily. One facility. We get 40 inches of rain a year. Ohio should be water-rich. Instead, we’re pumping groundwater faster than it can recharge. Wells are dropping. Aquifers are thinning.

By 2050, industrial water demand is projected to explode 120%. That’s your drinking water, farmers’ irrigation, and every river, stream, and wetland in a losing battle against server farms. This isn’t sustainable. This isn’t progress. This is theft from our children’s future. That’s why Ohioans are fighting back: a citizen-led effort to amend the Ohio Constitution to ban large-scale data centers that threaten our water. Ballot language is being reviewed now. Petitions will hit every county soon.

Most of these companies hide their real water usage behind NDAs. They don’t want you to know they’re drinking your future. AI doesn’t run on electricity alone. It runs on your water. Arizona already learned this lesson the hard way. Ohio doesn’t have to. We will not sacrifice our water, our land, and our grandchildren’s inheritance so tech billionaires can train bigger models.

. Sign the petitions when they drop. Spread the word. This is Water Wars and Ohio is waking up. #water #waterwars #ohio #bigtech #datacenters

CBS News reported today that DOJ and DHS are close to finalizing an agreement to share voter roll data — including Social Security numbers and driver’s license numbers — for immigration enforcement purposes. In a March 3 federal court hearing in Minnesota, DOJ attorney James Tucker was asked directly whether the voter data would be used for immigration enforcement. His answer: “Not to my knowledge, your honor.” On March 19 in Connecticut, a different judge asked if there was a plan to share the data with DHS. Tucker: “I don’t believe that’s a decision that’s been made.” He added: “As of today, there has been no directive or instruction that the data is going to be transmitted to any other agency.”

CBS published its story today. Within hours, a DOJ attorney disclosed the DHS sharing plan in open court in Rhode Island — for the first time, after being prompted by press inquiry, not by the court. The MOU DOJ signed with Alaska when it collected that state’s data explicitly states that identifying voter data “will not be shared by the Department.” Indiana already handed over its full voter rolls — names, birth dates, addresses, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers. The data is in DOJ possession now. The question of where it goes next just changed.

I’ve been in Congress through divided governments, bitter fights, and historic crises. I’ve never seen anything like the last 24 hours. Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson killed Republican Senate Majority Leader John Thune’s bipartisan deal to fund the TSA, Coast Guard, and FEMA. It was a deal that had the support of Senate Republicans and Democrats alike, 100-0! Why? Because Johnson places his own political survival and fealty to Trump over all else, including long waits at airports or anything else.

We could have passed it in the House easily if only Johnson had allowed the vote to proceed. But instead he blew up the whole thing. Where this goes next is anyone’s guess, but what’s very clear is that Johnson is the worst and most subservient speaker in modern American history.

What y’all are saying right now… in my opinion… is dead wrong.

Now let me be clear — I’m the one who fought all the way to the Supreme Court for free speech. So I respect your right to say whatever you want. That’s a fact.

    But this hits different.

Because the same Black people you’re turning your backs on…
The same Black women you’re dismissing…
Those are the same people who built you.
They buy your tickets. They watch your shows. They support your careers.

And now you’re aligning with a man — Donald Trump — who has openly disrespected Black women, including Michelle Obama, and countless other accomplished Black women

    Let’s talk facts:

Our people depend on the Department of Education.
    Our people depend on HUD.
Our people depend on opportunity — not having their achievements dismissed as “DEI.”

    This same man has:
    •Tried to erase Black history
•Limited what our children can learn
•Praised and pardoned officers involved in killing unarmed Black men

So don’t act like this is just politics. This is personal.

Nick, you were right about one thing — yes, a Republican president signed the law freeing enslaved Africans. That’s history.

But you left out everything that happened AFTER that.

You left out where today’s MAGA movement stands.
You left out who has consistently fought for civil rights, voting rights, and opportunity.

If it was left up to them right now, they’d take us backwards — not forward.

    And let’s be real…
If they truly cared about Black people — about Foundational Black Americans, descendants of slaves — we wouldn’t even be having this conversation.

    We’d be talking about reparations.

So I’m not coming at y’all with hate… I’m coming at you with responsibility.

    Because influence comes with accountability.

And right now… y’all on the wrong side of this one.

And people keep asking me why I’m running for Congress — this is exactly why.
