The Texas Secretary of State appears to have significantly mismanaged the voting rolls in Collin County. So much so that one Precinct, according to the Democratic Chair, has 113K voters in it (normally they have a few thousand.) That large of an error could derail several elections in a county that is close to flipping Democratic.

This is crazy. The Trump administration is forcing five aging coal plants to stay open under “emergency” orders, and the math does not work for anybody.
Grid operators did not ask for this.
The utilities did not ask for this.
The states did not ask for this.
Years of careful planning to replace these plants with cheaper, cleaner power are being thrown out.
This is not about coal versus renewables.
It is about whether the Trump administration should be allowed to force you to pay for power plants that nobody needs, nobody asked for, and in some cases are not even generating electricity.
Meanwhile, Americans all across the country are watching their utility bills climb.
It is completely ridiculous.

Judge was about to throw out the case bc Trump controls both parties.
Before it’s dismissed, Trump tells both parties to reach a “settlement.”
Settlement shields Trump from any future audit and creates a secret slush fund that can dole out money to anyone with no transparency.

The tourist and ski resort town of Lake Tahoe must scramble to find a new energy supplier by May 2027—the result of a Nevada utility company saying it needs the power capacity in part for new data centers. The resulting energy crisis impacts 49,000 California residents who live near Lake Tahoe, nestled in the Sierra Nevada mountains on the border between California and Nevada.
Lake Tahoe’s local electricity provider, California-based Liberty Utilities, has been obtaining 75 percent of its power from the Nevada-based company NV Energy. But the latter has said it will stop providing power to the Lake Tahoe region by May 2027, according to extensive reporting by Fortune.

Good morning. Part of any effort to address this has to include marginalizing “The Left” and its manufactured “influence”. I lay blame for defeat of people who would have averted this at the very minimum at the Supreme Court level (clears throat, Hillary Clinton and or Kamala Harris). If I hadn’t known that Trump had labelled Hakeem Jeffries “Low IQ” I would have assumed that a member of Grandpa Grifter’s cult said it first as many of them had. That’s pathetic. Many of us knew in 2016 we were dealing with onset of fascism and repression of Black people. That the so called “left” (I think they’re paid rodent procreators) stated its goal of destroying the Democratic Party and stoked the flames against it as morally reprehensible for that reason alone. (I’m old enough to remember when AOC vowed her PAC would primary members of CBC and called out Jeffries). I realize she has used her position to support Biden and speak out vigorously against the Supreme Court’s decision. But she fed the fury too long and I’m still not sure I trust her.
I totally trust that Leader Jeffries knows exactly the depth and breadth what he’s dealing with at the root cause level and I’m so grateful he is in a powerful position because it takes that level wisdom and political skill to deal with this.
