1. After pushing anti-trans laws to ‘protect women’s sports’, Project 2025’s Heritage Foundation now wants women’s sports gone to ‘assist fertility.’Turns out it was about women’s sports all along—if getting rid of women’s sports counts, that is.
2. The report, authored by Heritage Foundation senior research fellow and Boise State University professor Scott Yenor, takes aim at Title IX, which bars sex discrimination in schools receiving federal funds and was directly responsible for the creation of women’s sports programs in K-12 schools.
3. And Yenor introduces the topic in a familiar way: transphobia. He opens with a nod to the right-wing conspiracy theories surrounding Imane Khelif, writing that “in 2024, a Tunisian man defeated a Chinese woman for the Olympic women’s boxing gold medal.”
(It must be noted that Khelif is Algerian)
4. However, Yenor is merely using trans athletes—which right-wing groups have employed to get many Americans comfortable with discriminatory policies—as a springboard for his true target: women’s sports, and more specifically, “the deeper feminist settlement that has governed athletics for decades.”
5. His argument is simple: Title IX has created “a prejudice in favor of a male-normed competitive model for women’s sports and a prejudice against men’s programs,” and these “rest on the false premise that differences in competitiveness and interest between the sexes are stereotypes.”
6. As he clarifies, he believes that women, when compared to men, are naturally less ‘aggressive, assertive, and dominant’ and less interested in sports, and therefore, giving men more sporting opportunities isn’t discriminatory. Rather, in his view, the discrimination lies in giving women equality.
7. Apparently, this is because Title IX’s mandate for equality in competitive opportunity meant “colleges learned that the safest (and often cheapest) path to compliance was cutting men’s non-revenue programs rather than adding women’s teams or controlling costs in football and men’s basketball.
8. Here, he’s reversing the rhetoric that the GOP has employed when banning trans athletes. There, they argue that trans women should get fewer opportunities because they are more competitive and aggressive and that every trans woman who wants to compete takes an opportunity away from a cis woman.
9. But now, it’s cis women who should get fewer opportunities for being less competitive and aggressive and that every cis woman who wants to compete is unfairly taking an opportunity away from a man. To solve this, Yenor proposes that Title IX should instead ‘accommodate nature.’
10. As part of this, he wrote:
“History and the nature-denying extremism of today’s Title IX enforcement compel us to consider basic questions: What goods do women themselves get from sports and physical activity? What goods do men get? What goods does society derive from women’s participation?”
11. As for the ‘goods’ in question, Yenor is unequivocal: children.
In fact, he dedicates 2/3rd of his answer to these questions on fertility alone, and he asserted that “High-intensity exercise increases infertility; moderate exercise assists fertility more than any other approach to exercise.”
12. Through this paragraph, Yenor reveals his hand—as well as the fact that the rest of the reasoning he presents may very well be entirely ad hoc. After all, according to his Heritage Foundation bio, Yenor “writes primarily on the family” and has been called a “leading pro-family intellectual.”
13. Clearly, right-wing attacks on women’s sports won’t stay limited to trans women for much longer. That discourse, ostensibly about ‘fairness’ and ‘safety,’ has normalized the idea that laws can and should be passed that regulate who qualifies as a woman and what opportunities she has access to.

14. Now, armed with a recent victory at the Supreme Court that upheld those laws, men like Scott Yenor are looking to cash in.Will America’s women let them?

Lamine Yamal’s name carried a story long before it was known across the football world.
Before he was born on 13 July 2007, his parents were going through a difficult financial period. His mother, Sheila Ebana, was only 16 when she gave birth, while his father, Mounir Nasraoui, was also still very young.
They were trying to build a life together while struggling to cover basic expenses.
During that period, two men named Lamine and Yamal helped the family financially, including assisting them with rent.
His parents promised that they would never forget what those two people had done for them.
When their son was born, they kept that promise.
They gave him both names, Lamine Yamal, turning an act of kindness into something their family would carry forever.
His full name is Lamine Yamal Nasraoui Ebana. Nasraoui comes from his Moroccan father, while Ebana comes from his Equatorial Guinean mother.
He was born in Esplugues de Llobregat and grew up in Rocafonda, a working-class neighborhood in Mataró that he continues to represent with his familiar 304 hand gesture, taken from the area’s postal code.
Football soon became the path that changed his family’s life.
He entered Barcelona’s academy, La Masia, and made his senior debut in April 2023 at just 15 years and 291 days old, becoming the youngest player to represent Barcelona’s first team at the time.
A year later, he helped Spain win UEFA Euro 2024. He became the youngest player ever to appear at the European Championship, scored in the semifinal against France and was named the tournament’s best young player. He lifted the trophy one day after turning 17.
Then came the biggest achievement of all.
On 19 July 2026, at just 19 years old, Lamine Yamal became a FIFA World Cup champion as Spain defeated Argentina 1 0 in the final, securing the country’s second World Cup title.
The boy whose parents once needed help paying their rent had now reached the highest stage in football.
But every time his name was announced inside a stadium, it still carried the memory of two people who helped his family before anyone knew what that child would become.
Lamine Yamal was not simply given a name.
He was given a permanent reminder that kindness can travel further than anyone ever expects.

Purges should not be done close to an election.
Purges should be done months out from an election. I would say 6 months, so that people will have the time to do what’s necessary to re-register if they are dropped from the voter rolls.

We don’t have a voter registration problem in Louisiana — we have a voter turnout problem.
Part of that is because too few people are consistently engaging our communities, organizing, and educating people.
That’s why I’m working to bring Civics for the People to Shreveport and New Orleans next month. Knowledge and turnout go hand in hand. We need both if we’re serious about changing our outcomes.

#BREAKING: Jake Tapper: “…steal this election a pretty stark term. I haven’t really heard it used since 2024. To be clear, this is a close race. Congresswoman Haley Stevens is a four-term congresswoman endorsed by outgoing Senator Gary Peters. Are you saying that if you don’t win this election, it will be because it was stolen?”
Abdul El-Sayed: “I believe in the rigor of the democratic process, Jake, but I also believe that the corruption of billionaire money, AIPAC money, to the tune of $50 million being spent, is anti-democratic on its own terms. If you were to take all the outside spending in this race out, this would not be a close election, but it speaks to the way that unfortunately money from DTE, our local utility, money from Blue Cross Blue Shield, money from AIPAC has come in to try to track this election in favor of somebody who they know is going to do their business instead of the people’s, and I think that’s anti-democratic on its own terms. It’s why I’m running on getting money out of politics so we can put money back in people’s pockets and pass Medicare for all.”

Border Patrol pulls over a 20-year-old in Slidell, LA for “white lights on the back of your vehicle… your reverse lights are on the whole time.”
Then, before writing a single ticket, the agent asks: “What’s your citizenship?”
The driver, Alan Laureano, was born in Slidell. His passenger — his 13-year-old stepbrother — was born in Pearl River, Louisiana. Both are U.S. citizens.
Didn’t matter. Twice, on camera, the agent tells Laureano he’s going to “check” the kid and “if he’s illegal, I will take him.”
He tries to open the 13-year-old’s car door himself. Laureano locks it and rolls the window down instead.
The agent then interrogates the child directly — full name, spelling, date of birth, birthplace — while Laureano stands his ground and refuses to hand over his own ID, telling the agent he doesn’t have the right to stop him over a taillight.
Immigration attorney Michael Gahagan reviewed the video and called it what it is: “an illegal detention.” Border Patrol isn’t authorized to detain someone over a traffic violation — they need independent reasonable suspicion of an immigration violation, and that has to come first, not get invented after the stop.
DHS’s after-the-fact statement claims the stop was based on “reasonable suspicion or probable cause of federal law violations” — but doesn’t say what that violation was. WWL Louisiana asked twice. No answer either time.
This is the pattern: pretext stop, pivot to citizenship, threaten a kid with removal before confirming anything. It only looks “routine” until you’re the one being asked to prove you belong in the country you were born in.
