BIN LADEN IS DEAD; GM IS ALIVE!
First Lady Michelle Obama made clear today that she does not plan to follow in Hillary Clinton’s footsteps and run for president after her husband leaves office.
“Absolutely not,” the first lady declared today, when a girl at the White House for its “Take Your Daughters And Sons To Work Day,” asked if she will ever run for president.
“One of the things you learn about yourself as you get older are what are your strengths and what are your interests,” she said. “And for me, it’s other stuff, that is not being the President. So I probably won’t run.”
In fielding questions from the youngsters, the first lady expressed confidence that her husband will win reelection and that she’ll be in her current role for another four years.”
“When my husband is running for President, we’re right in there; we’re serving, too,” she said. “And I think that once his terms are over, we’ll go on to do other important things – because there are so many ways that you can help this country and the world, even if you’re not president of the United States,” she said.
Obama revealed that what she most wants to do is “sneak around.” Asked if she would change anything about the position of first lady, she said she yearns to ditch her security detail and go for a walk.

Biden takes aim at Romney on foreign policy
By Amy Gardner and Scott Wilson, Thursday, April 26, 12:24 PM
Vice President Biden delivered a broad critique Thursday of Mitt Romney’s foreign policy experience and approach, arguing that the presumptive Republican nominee “fundamentally misunderstands” the role of the American president and commander in chief in a rapidly changing world.
The Obama-Biden campaign billed the vice president’s speech at New York University School of Law as the first of many addresses that will highlight what officials say are the shortcomings of Romney’s foreign policy, signaling what both camps say is the start of the general election season.

EXCERPTS OF THE VICE PRESIDENT’S SPEECH
CHICAGO, IL —
Today Vice President Joe Biden will deliver remarks at New York University in New York City on the President’s commitment to keeping Americans safe and our nation secure. In his speech, the Vice President will describe how, under President Obama’s leadership, we have successfully confronted our enemies and strengthened our alliances to effectively meet the challenges we face overseas. The Vice President will contrast the Administration’s record with the empty rhetoric of Governor Mitt Romney, who continues to distort and mischaracterize the President’s accomplishments on foreign policy and national security without offering policy alternatives of his own. Earlier this morning, Obama for America released its newest “Mitt Romney vs. Reality” video which highlights Romney’s weak foreign policy record and can be seenhere.
The event is the fifth in a series of remarks that the Vice President has delivered across the country on issues that will be at the core of the general election and the choice America will make in November about the future we want for this country. This event is sponsored by the NYU College Democrats.
EXCERPTS OF THE SPEECH BELOW
Today, I want to talk about an American president’s single most important responsibility – keeping our fellow citizens safe and our nation secure at a time of extraordinary challenge and change. On this fundamental issue, the contrast between President Obama’s record and Governor Romney’s rhetoric could not be greater.
—
Three and a half years ago, when President Obama and I took office, our nation had been engaged in two wars for the better part of a decade. Al Qaeda was resurgent and Osama bin Laden was at large. Our alliances were dangerously frayed. And our economy – the foundation of our nation’s security – was on the precipice of a new depression.
—
President Obama ended the war in Iraq responsibly. He set a clear strategy and end date for the war in Afghanistan. He cut in half the number of Americans serving in harm’s way. He decimated Al Qaeda’s senior leadership. He repaired our alliances and restored America’s standing in the world. And he saved our economy from collapse with bold decisions, including the rescue of the automobile industry – and that has made us stronger abroad.
—
If you are looking for a bumper sticker to sum up how President Obama has handled what we inherited, it’s pretty simple: Osama bin Laden is dead and General Motors is alive.
Governor Romney’s national security policy would return us to the past we have worked so hard to move beyond. In this regard, it is no different than what Governor Romney has proposed for our economy – taking us back to the failed policies that got us into the mess President Obama has dug us out of.
Governor Romney is counting on our collective amnesia. But Americans know that we cannot afford to go back to the future. Back to a foreign policy that would have America go it alone… shout to the world you’re either with us or against us… lash out first and ask the hard questions later, if at all… isolate America instead of our enemies…waste hundreds of billions of dollars and risk thousands of American lives on an unnecessary war… and see the world through a Cold War prism that is totally out of touch with our times.
Come on with it, VP Joe; tell Americans the TRUTH on PBO’s national security ACUMEN.
The kids love First Lady Michelle.
The job is not HARD. It’s been FUN
LOL Frist question: Will you ever run for POTUS?
FLOTUS: ABSOLUTELY NOT.. LOL
FLOTUS is beautiful. She’s taking questions from the boys and girls now.
