But, I guess if you’ve been screwed over by Los Angeles’ finest (aka LAPD), we might understand, but we still don’t like it. From the Field:

This dude is doing his best John Allen Muhammad impression, because according to his manifesto, the LAPD did him wrong. Like Muhammad, this Christopher Jordan Dorner fellow was trained in the military, and like Muhammad, he clearly has some other issues.
According to Dorner’s manifesto, LAPD not only fired him for what appeared to be some whistleblowing activity on his part, but then when he tried to get justice for himself through the courts, he got knocked down, there too. Here’s an excerpt:
The department has not changed since the Rampart and Rodney King days. It has gotten worse. The consent decree should never have been lifted. The only thing that has evolved from the consent decree is those officers involved in the Rampart scandal and Rodney King incidents have since promoted to supervisor, commanders, and command staff, and executive positions.
Dammit, this couldn’t have come at a worse time. And an innocent child is among his victims in his quest for revenge. While I believe what he’s saying about LAPD, brotha, this isn’t the way to GO. White folks who love their guns and fighting the guvmint to not only keep them, but be allowed to get one without a background check to see if they’re too crazy to own one; they will now have this incident as an excuse to arm themselves against big, bald-headed brothas like Christopher Dorner. Dorner’s actions also probably ensured some racial profiling in the future, in terms of whether or not a brotha can join the police force without intensive psychological scrutiny that no one else is even going to undergo. Besides, Tom Bradley is probably rolling over in his grave, after all he did and experienced to make sure a brotha could carry a gun and a badge in LA.
Of course the Police Department is dismissing Dorner’s manifesto as “self-serving” and ramblings on the Internet. Maybe if they had paid attention?

LAPD to reopen probe into firing of ex-cop suspected in three slayings

Los Angeles police announced Saturday that it would reopen the investigation into the firing of Christopher Jordan Dorner from the LAPD, apparently prompting Dorner’s vengeful rampage that has left three people dead.
Chief Charlie Beck is reopening the investigation because he wants “to insure the public that the LAPD is fair and transparent,” Cmdr. Andrew Smith said at a late-afternoon news conference at LAPD’s headquarters downtown.
Dorner was stripped of his badge in 2009 after a police disciplinary board found him guilty of making false statements against his training officer, Teresa Evans. In August 2007, Dorner accused Evans of kicking a mentally ill man during an arrest in San Pedro.

The internal affairs investigation concluded that she had not kicked the man and that Dorner’s statements were false.

Accused triple-murderer and fugitive Christopher Dorner, who has dominated news headlines in recent days as an intense search for him has spanned California and beyond, was featured in an Oklahoma newspaper in a much more positive light in 2002.
A news story originally written in 2002 and re-published on EnidNews.com Friday gives an account of the suspect and another man finding a bank bag containing nearly $8,000 and immediately turning it in to police.
Dorner, who was in the Navy, and the other good Samaritan, a Marine, were both students at Vance Air Force Base at the time, the news agency reported.
They were reportedly driving into town Nov. 2, 2002, when they spotted a bank bag in the middle of the street.
Inside they discovered $7,792 in cash and checks that belonged to a local church, and promptly brought the money to the police department.
“The military stresses integrity,” Dorner told EnidNews.com. “There was a couple of thousand dollars, and if people are willing to give that to a church, it must be pretty important to them.”
“I didn’t work for it, so it’s not mine. And it was for the church,” he added. “It’s not so much the integrity, but it was someone else’s money. I would hope someone would do that for me.”

Mainstream Media Coverage-Who Do they Work For?
Let’s start with media coverage? Does the media work for the people with the goal of getting the truth out or do they work for the police? I was surprised when media outlet after media outlet printed the Manifesto written by Dorner with all the names erased. The rationale was that they didn’t want to endanger the lives of police officers by printing their names because Dorner was targeting them.. Let’s say we buy that argument… Does that policy extend to other areas and to other citizens? After all, we live in an era where we’ve seen media become more paparazzi-like and go on all out crusades publishing people’s names addresses etc, invading folks privacy and sparking controversy to push a particular cause under the guise they are ‘just reporting the story‘. It hasn’t seem to matter what impact it had on those they highlighted. But in this instance a document that already been seen by thousands, they erased the names. Are such decisions made case by case by media outlets or only with the police?
Since many in the media opted to take out the names leaving many in the dark about who may or may not have done any wrong doing as alleged in the in the manifesto, one might ask, were those same outlets going to follow-up with any sort of investigative reporting? When I hear reporters state the manifesto is nothing but a bunch of rambling, are we to assume they checked out everything that Dorner referenced and concluded it was false?

Relentless snowfall on Friday grounded helicopters with heat-sensing technology and hampered their effort to find the former Los Angeles police officer suspected of going on a deadly rampage to get back at those he blamed for ending his career.
After they found his burned-out pickup truck near at this ski resort town Thursday afternoon, SWAT teams in camouflage started scouring the mountains, aware to the reality they could be walking into a trap set by the well-trained former Navy reservist who knows their tactics and strategies as well as they do.
“He can be behind every tree,” said T. Gregory Hall, a retired tactical supervisor for a special emergency response team for the Pennsylvania State Police. “He can try to draw them into an ambush area where he backtracks.”
As authorities weathered heavy snow and freezing temperatures in the mountains, thousands of heavily armed police remained on the lookout throughout California, Nevada, Arizona and northern Mexico for a suspect bent on revenge and willing to die.
Police said officers still were guarding more than 40 people mentioned as targets in a rant they said Dorner posted on Facebook. He vowed to use “every bit of small arms training, demolition, ordnance and survival training I’ve been given” to bring “warfare” to the LAPD and its families.

Though this man seems to have gone off the deep end, I think it’s a result of corruption, bullying and societal disenchantment. People can only take so much before they snap, I guess it was his time. He expresses himself very well, like an educated individual with some very real experiences in life that cut him deeply.

Dorner was accused of punching a recruit in the chest while he was in the Police Academy in 2006. That recruit, Abraham Schefres, was wearing a bulletproof vest and a trauma plate, when Dorner allegedly punched him. First of all I will not condone Dorner killing those innocent people. Condoning that would make me no better than the Zimmerman fans. Dorner should be brought to trial but we all know that will never happen. Dorner is a dead man walking.
As far as him being the the next Nat Turner. Well Sag I believe that will never happen. Nat Turner has been credited for starting the civil war resulting in freeing slaves. There will be none of that in LA because the LAPD will make themselves out as victims. The LAPD has been hunting black men for years with no one batting an eye. Trust the LAPD will go on hunting brown and black men whether they catch Dorner or not.
I do believe that folks,especially white folks, should take a step back and think about the incidents that led to Durner’s breakdown. This man did what he was supposed to do. He went to school, served his country, by all accounts he was a decent man. However, being a decent black man does not guarantee you a free ticket from racism. I think that realization is what finally broke him.

After having read Dorner’s Manifesto (provided the one I saw on the Internet is authentic–a copy of the real thing), I’m convinced the LAPD needs this man DEAD at all costs. If you haven’t read the lengthy document yet, then you should. In his own words, Dorner writes a Manifesto which details what happens when someone who is viewed by others as a ‘good person’ turns ‘bad’ after he or she has been wronged by society–in this case, an African American police officer who feels he (and other minorities) were wrongfully treated by the LAPD. Dorner does not make any excuses or ask for forgiveness, he just explains why he did what he did.
Based on the document I read, it is clear that Christopher Dorner is an intelligent man with serious mental health issues who obviously has lost his way. I’m not condoning what he did, but I do feel we need to understand that the LAPD and our mainstream news media (MSM) are not going to tell us everything we need to know about this tragic situation. That is why this otherwise intelligent and decent man felt he had to resort to such deplorable measures to get our attention.
It is also clear that the LAPD will go to any length to silence this man–even if that means killing innocent people, such as what we’ve already seen with the point blank shooting of several innocent people by police including two Latino women who looked nothing like the “suspect. Steve, everything I’ve read indicates that the LAPD has made no public statements about the shooting other than the Chief acknowledging that it was a case of “mistaken” identity, so from where is your information that they were ordered to stop. The women claim that there was NO warning, just shooting and the LAPD has not disputed this account. The women are in fact Hispanic, not Asian (Hernandez and Carranza).

Here’s the thing, Leutisha and Renners; there’s not a whole lot to investigate here. Most of what Dorner wrote in that manifesto is TRUE. Most of what he wrote is how a lot of us feel, and how we think, but we haven’t snapped and bust cap in folks.

And all the hoopla and research about football players and concussions and their effects on behavior, just saying. Doesn’t Dorner warrant capture, medical attention, and a trial when and where acceptable?

I don’t think Dorner’s making it hard for me. I’ve been watching the media cover this, and of course, Dorner certainly does NOT have the protection of his complexion. I can hear and see the fear coming from the LAPD and the media. They’re dragging on the psychologist to annoint Dorner as dangerous and criminal, not mentally ill. You know white killers are mentally ill, black male killers are branded dangerous.
