Even though 3Chics Politico is written and curated by three women: Ametia, Rikyrah, and SouthernGirl2, I must nominate this as one of the most engaging blogs I've found. Devoted to politics and culture, these three shine a light on contemporary life with humor and spirit.

If this is their idea of justice in Waller County,Texas, then they may as well just whack Brian Encinia’s knuckles with a ruler and be done with it. He gets indicted for perjury an fired, she has 2/3 of her life stolen from her and dies a horrible death. So, I’m having some problems seeing this “as a start” toward justice.

OMG! Brian Encinia bail set at $2500? It’s a slap in the got damn face. #SandraBland illegal arrest bail was $5000.

Yup SG..
That’s ‘justice’ for you..
The police officer who is sworn to deal with honor and integrity in the protection of the public that pays his salary – including Sandra Bland – is let off with a slap on the wrist for ‘perjury’ in the case of the eventual murder of an innocent citizen – a young woman he unlawfully apprehended, assaulted and imprisoned, for not showing him sufficient deference – and for being too black and stereotypically “sassy”..
She on the other hand gets imprisonment and a death sentence, for not quaking and crumbling at the sight of a racist police officer who stopped her for no reason…
God help us!
And we still don’t know who killed her.

WALLER COUNTY – Brian Encinia, the Texas state trooper who arrested Sandra Bland, will be turning himself in to Texas Rangers on Thursday, a day after being indicted on a perjury charge. This was according to Waller County Sheriff Glenn Smith who spoke to media this afternoon.
Bland, an African-American woman, was found dead in her cell three days after being arrested, accused of failing to use her turn signal July 10. She was 28.
Her family has maintained she should never have been arrested and would never kill herself. Police said she hanged herself with a plastic bag in her cell. The case raised questions of excessive police force and the role of race in police interactions.
this is absolute nonsense.
they need to be under arrest.

Brian Encinia: This officer saw everything.
Pennie Goodie: I saw everything.
Sandra Bland: No you didn’t. You didn’t see everything
now, that slave catcher needs to be fired
